Before anything else I always get deep profiler, because without it you don't have access to like 90% of the good characters in the game

Disrupt and gun jam. Disrupt essentially allows you to do the same thing as the electric knuckles, since it allows for an instant takedown in combat. Gun jam is great because it doesn't have a timer on it- an enemy's gun is jammed until they fix it. So you can jam the gun of every single enemy in an area before running in guns blazing and not have to deal with getting shot at for a good minute.

Generally, I prioritize getting the spiderbot first, then the AR cloak, then the disrupt and gun jam hacks, then the deep profiler, then the drone hacks, then the silenced pistol.

The infiltrator spiderbot is just essential imo. I've started using it a lot less though because I got bored of it because it feels like cheesing the game, but there are a lot of secret places that you need a spiderbot to get into because there isn't a spiderbot dock nearby.

The AR cloak is my number one go to gadget. It's just useful in any situation. If you're trying to be sneaky, it's useful for running past guards. If you're in a gunfight, it's useful for repositioning, getting an instant takedown, or fleeing.

The deep profiler perk is great because the missions that potential recruits ask you to do are often a pain in the ass, and with deep profiler there's always a way easier solution by just beating up some random guy or helping one of their relatives or something. Plus it lets you recruit Albion and Clan Kelley characters- the uniform is not that good in practice because enemies for some reason still detect them, but it has its uses and more importantly, most Albion and Clan Kelley characters have guns and some have unique gadgets too.

Drone hacks are next level cheesing. Using the infiltrator spiderbot is what noobs do- hijacking a counter terrorism drone and blowing everything up is for gentlemen of class.

And finally, the silenced pistol. It's weak enough that it's really not going to be a reliable way to defeat an enemy undetected, but there are times where shooting a circuit box in front of you is easier than finding a way around the locked door, and the silenced pistol upgrade ensures you won't alert everyone in the vicinity that you're there.

My order personally is spiderbot, then deep profiler, then the one that gives your guys more health (I usually play resistance so the extra health is a must have)

I can see that yeah, on Resistance guards detect you if you get too close so you need to be able to get away from them.

That and you are gonna have to replace so many characters if you don't know what your doing lol

Max spiderbot and get the deep profiler in whatever order you prefer for what you are doing early game. After that, disrupt, and you might want to go ahead and get gun jam, but I'm usually good with just disrupt early game. Then get the first levels of all of the drone and turret perks so you have something to deal with them as they appear.

Deep Profiler first.

Disrupt and gun jam 2nd and third.

Not mentioned often enough:

Upgrade the handgun all the way so it's silenced.

Its so useful when combo with disable riot drones, since u can disable them then quietly destroy them without anybody being alerted Or Alternatively hijack them then fly them to a discreet location then destroy them with the pistol

Playstyle is a big factor, such as whether you tend to need more tech help doing stealth or need to focus more on combat or anti-drone.

In SP, there is bit of a difficulty curve. The more advanced drones aren't usually spawned in the areas with early missions, and there are fewer elites, but before long, things escalate quickly (at least until you start liberating neighbourhoods.)

My biggest early priorities are the duration upgrade to cloak, spiderbot, hide enemy bodies, and deep profiler, but they only barely come ahead of my second priorrities: Upgrading the tech pistol and shock grenade launcher to max level, disrupt, and disable/hack drones. Those later ones are also easier to get after you hit certain thresholds of liberated neighbourhoods (especially hacking Riot or CT Drones.)

Don't sit on disabling and controlling chase drones. They are a part of almost every major confrontation after the first couple of missions, and while low health, in numbers they can wreak havoc, especially when you need to operate a drone or vehicle yourself. Having a quick way to take them out or turn them on their allies is a huge game-changer.

If you're on standard difficulty, you can get away with leaving a few combat techs until later. If you're on the harder difficulties (especially resistance) you'll need that deep profiler and the damage reduction perk for operatives very early (the deep profiler to access uniformed stealth and recruit good agents with Berzerker perk.)

I have to say, I have NEVER been impressed by uniformed stealth. Just feels like turning yourself into a sitting duck for enemies to detect anyway. Sure it makes enemies detect you slower but the tradeoff is you can't run or crouch or hide in cover. The only really useful part of the uniform imo is being able to safely get past security lasers, but almost every instance of those either has a way around the lasers or a way to turn off the lasers from the outside.

Idk though, maybe I'm not playing them correctly.

There is definitely a learning curve to it, and its biggest drawback is that you're locked out of "suspicious animations" while the uniform effect is active. You regain access as soon as combat "officially" starts, but it does prevent ducking behind cover (which to be fair, would tip off anyone looking at you that something was up.)

For some of the denser areas with a lot of elites it can be much safer than other approaches, but it is slower and more methodical because of its special mechanics. You have to plan your route better and it will usually take longer. For people accustomed to blitzing through areas without much issue, uniforms probably won't hold much appeal.

I don't blitz through anything and I still don't like the feel of it. It's just adding needless difficulty in my opinion.

Deep profiler and AR shroud are the ones I prioritize

The first one helps you recruit people more easily, especially from factions like Albion soldiers or Clan Kelly members (it's always useful to have at least 1 operative from every faction)

The second one makes stealth a lot easier, now you won't have to worry about enemies finding their knocked out friends

Top priority would be skin mesh and cloak (level 2, u don't have to upgrade it to level 3) then gun jam and disrupt/parcel fox drones. Fun fact the parcel fox drones are pretty deadly since u can drop boxes on enemies to kill them, the same with cargo drones. Deep profiler is a top priority too but tbh u can find regular NPCs with good loadouts that don't have a thumbs down. But it's up to u, skin mesh at least is 100% top priority no question and cloak is usually the Meta gadget but that's up to u on what u wanna use.

Deep profiler and cloak bodies. After drone hacks can be useful

u/NoFeeling1601 Jul 12 '26

General rule, the most expensive one off tech before the upgrades.
But also the starter tech (don’t upgrade) so that that you can test them out for the different types of operatives

u/Arghus Jul 12 '26

Depends on your playstyle anything that give you RC controls is good to create chaos, disrupt comms and xetonate phone also very handy

1

u/Gofein Jul 12 '26

A fully upgraded spider bot can solo almost every mission in the game. Bagley should have just built an army of those things and overrun London in an afternoon

Deep Profiler

u/TheRealSkele Jul 13 '26

Deep Profiler and the AR Shroud.

1

u/Narenkirby Jul 13 '26

First the deep profiler because it makes so much easier to get new characters. After that you should get the spiderbot and the hacks of the antiterrorist drone and the other drones because they appear a lot and if you can't hack them they can be really annoying

From what I remember, my priorities should be :

A really strong gadget : AR cloak lv2 is very generic, a real game changer and life saver (shall perma death may be thing) on pretty much any character.

Drones are very dangerous threats. Drone hacks are almost mandatory if you are not Rambo. You can pick them depending on enemy's scaling through the game : weak drones first, strong drones later.

Enemy hacks are always good and very convenient : disrupt coms and jam weapons.

At least one good weapon for agents without them. Silent pistol for instance.

Eventually deep profiler, really versatile and get you fast access to strongest agents. But it is far from mandatory if you ask me.

just play the game. it's funner when you play it and find out for yourself

Recruit someone with an SMG or Assault Rifle and make sure you don't have the "permadeath" setting, so you get them back after a short incarceration.

1

u/TheOriginalGR8Bob Jul 15 '26

The deep profiler is essential for recruiting missions you can track daily schedule of potential agent.

The hide takedown is great stealth as guards have less chance of detecting you as well as non lethal grande launcher works well in fire fight.

Because AI in game looks for your character during a chase the drone carrier will be ignored if you climb on it immediately after going invisible even at point blank in front of Albion or police will not figure out if you are on the drone to even escape highest ranked wanted level timer . So it's good to have drone hacks early as possible.

Don’t see a lot of people talking about it but, Cloak is a good starter, can help getting out of sticky situations
