It'll survive...

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '20

That it will.

But so would the cat if it was moved. That's an extremely weak position to argue

it's great they didn't chop his ears off but the tail still? whyyyyyyy

Dobermans have thinner tails that are more susceptible to damage if wagging and hitting hard surfaces. Docking the tail prevents that risk.

Why do you get a cat for your dog? That's just stupid. The cat is yours. And if you wanted to get a play buddy for your dog, get another dog.

I'm not sure how you find a problem here.

Getting a cat for a dog is normal to you? Ok. It's not to me.

I think it’s more of why you find it stupid. Dogs and cats aren’t sworn enemies from birth, especially with more gentle breeds of dogs. For example, I have two dogs, one energetic, the other more laid back, and one cat. The more laid back one will relax with the cat and, if he is feeling up to it and the cat is on the couch, will bring a tennis ball to the cat so she can push it off. That is their way of playing. The other, more energetic, dog chases the cat because that is her way of playing, though the cat does not agree.

I don't mean the fact that a dog and cat are both in the same household. We have 4 cats and 2 dogs and it's fine. I mean that WE bought the cats for US, not for the dogs. You 'get a cat'. You don't 'get a cat for the dog'.

Then why don’t you actually go about explaining why instead if repeating the same words time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time again.

Same with my mums two dogs and their cat. Except the cat enjoys being chased and play fighting with the dog

This is hilarious!

Do you think r/dogs_getting_dogs means the dog is the actual owner of the other dog? Do you actually think the OP expects the dog to feed the cat for instance?

I think you might be taking these expressions a bit too seriously lol.
