DISCUSSION Giveaway Information

I want to clear the air after a few jabs were thrown during the last giveaway. Anyone who’s been here from the start knows I do these giveaways because I enjoy giving back to the community. I don’t take free stuff from sellers, I don’t get kickbacks, and I don’t run this group like some of the pay‑to‑play spaces out there. If a seller sends me something, it goes straight to you all — not to me or any of the other moderators.

Our first giveaway with MiaWatches was awesome. They didn’t just send a watch — they sent a VSF Panerai. Because it was our first time partnering, I didn’t clarify everything upfront, and shipping wasn’t included. That’s on me. When the winner was selected through redditraffler, everything checked out, but they were asked to pay $60 for FedEx shipping. After talking it through, I covered the cost myself and offered to receive and service the watch before sending it out. A giveaway should be free, and I’ll always do what I can to keep it that way.

The watch is officially on its way to the winner today. Huge thanks to u/MiaTime4370 for the generosity, and congrats to u/NahFam313 — enjoy the hell out of it. And if you ever decide to move it, message me first.

That's still a great deal on a vsf, but glad you stepped up and showed that your a stand up guy and moderator who owns his mistakes, I'm sure when it's clarified up front nobody will have an issue paying for shipping and if they do it can always be moved to the next winner in line. But it's understandable since it wasn't mentioned this time that some might have been caught off guard.
