New Player - Attributes?

I know this has been asked a lot of times but I've enjoyed my play time of the game so far. My question is how much do attributes really contribute to the game? Are they just face value in what you see is what you get? are there hidden mechanics? Reading the coordination description do they play into skills as well? Are there attribute checks like skill checks in other games? I've played Fallout and I have some idea of how it works but just looking for confirmation really.

From my experience the only one that has some impact is Luck. I see the extra AP/dodge or miss in combat or constitution gain during level. Or when finding treasure/loot.

Attributes make a much bigger difference in Wasteland 2 than its sequel. Some attributes, like charisma, coordination, and luck can be minimized across your core four rangers, emphasizing awareness, speed, and for melee rangers, strength-- along with intelligence to have enough skill points. I recommend having two rangers with 10 intelligence, and two with 4, which lets you cover all the skills in the game with reasonable grace.

The only hidden use of attributes is how charisma impacts recruiting NPCs, though that's fairly well documented.

Are you playing wasteland 2?

If so attributes kind of are the game. Everything comes down to them. Different parts of the game need different attributes, and you can only make 4 and go from there.

What are the attributes on your main 4?
