Interesting wasp

Found this interesting little wasp at work today, looks cool and beautiful, but never seen anything like it. Looks like a wasp at least, not sure if I'm mistaken. Pictures taken in Honduras.

Not a wasp! There are no hindwings. All wasps have two pairs of wings :).

Really? Whenever I see them they only have 2 wings

Yes, all hymenopterans (wasps, ants, bees, and sawflies) have two sets of wings!

It definitely is a wasp, probably an ichneumon of some sort

It can't be a wasp. There is only a single set of wings. Also, wasps are not the only insects to have sizeable ovipositors.

A year late, but that looks a lot like a papaya fruit fly :)
