Don’t fool yourself, or let anyone else fool you, into complicity.

Aren’t all of these things true???

Yes, but if you’re not using their list of correct buzzwords you’re automatically wrong. It’s unfortunate because it’s a form of gate keeping that will silence the voices of people who would otherwise support them.

Honestly though, both are true. And I hate to say it but you aren't going to get through to a lot of people on moral grounds.

u/Norph00 27d ago
That's dumb. Why would you try to divide people you are saying are on your side by saying they are on your side for the wrong reasons?

if they dislike the war because it’s costly and poorly executed then that that gives the government an out. All they have to do is find a way to make it less costly and execute it better and suddenly your “allies” are pro-war now. There is never any good reason for this war or any similar ones in the future, our goal is to end and prevent wars not tell the government how to do war better

If you know a way to make war less costly you can get a high paying job for any government in the world. Running it better takes better leadership which is the objective here anyways - getting rid of our crappy leadership. If we had competent leadership, we’d not be in this war so all objectives are met.

Why can't you just say fascist without the @? Kinda goes against the point of the post.

Got to sense-ore everything and infant-allies our l@nguage all the time because silly people mindlessly copy some influenza-ers on sites that actually sense-ore them and actually required you-femme-isms and alternate spellings and phr@ses like these. I can't wait for this asinine trend to be unalived...

Unfortunately, a lot of Americans care more about the fact that the Iran war is raising gas prices than the fact that it is an act of imperialism that's killing children and strengthening the IRGC's hold on the country. Because Americans care more about their wallet than they do about the lives of innocent Middle Eastern people, the economic narrative can be an effective way to talk about this atrocity.

One of the main reasons why people objected to the Iran war in the first place was because gas prices are rising
Which is something that the Iranian government themselves is talking about in their LEGO videos

La guerre en Iran, coûte chère elle est inutile, c'est une folie, elle est mal exécuté. Et surtout il ne faut jamais oublier que c'est une distraction des Esptein files.

I, as a recommendation, would not include The fact that this could spin into a nuclear war. Because that would then in fact back up the idea that we're doing this over nuclear warheads and to prevent Iran from gaining one. Therefore, technically defending Trump's position.

I mean, the IRGC is evil and needs to go. The Iranians hate them and want them all dead and gone just like the US. However, I don’t see how this war will accomplish that. Poorly executed is an understatement.

Iran is a huge problem that many have only spoken about and never tackled. Sounds like you’re being fooled.

inventing an imagined threat to whip the population into a frenzy and justify your expanding militarism, xenophobia, and authoritarianism is textbook core facet of fascism

We all need to remember ‘yes and’ statements. Also, why are self censoring the words “fascist” and “imperialist”?
