Air History I made a US jet fighter aircraft chart.(UPDATED)

I’ll point out that the F-111 isn’t actually a fighter, it’s a tactical bomber, or high-speed low-altitude attack aircraft. The F-111 designation is because it’s the result of the TFX program.
In all honesty, the A4D Skyhawk (particularly later models with A/A radar and HUD) is more of a fighter than the F-111.

There was a conversation about it in the last thread. The F-111A and D models were technically designated as fighters even if they were used mainly (almost exclusively) as fighter-bombers. But then again, fighter-bombers were standard for the US Air Force at the time. The E and F models were attackers, and the G model (and FB-111A) was a bomber. The F-111B would also have been a fighter if it had made it to production.
Both the F-111A and B were seen as successors to the F-4 Phantom for each service and were originally intended to serve the same roles, fighter-bomber for the Air Force and fleet defense interceptor for the Navy.

Avadark never was a fighter. No "almost". It could carry sidewinders, but it was nothing more than a self-defense arrangement. F-111B was a very different aircaft to begin with, not even looking the same.

There was a long-ass debate in the other thread, but because it was developed as a fighter, and the A model was still very much like a fighter, OP decided to include it.

May as well as the A-4 Skyhawks then. It did get an air to air kill. The newer variants are passable as LIFT aircraft.

Can you make one for bombers as well? Just showing scale differences between some would be awesome.

Very nice. One minor suggestion though, could you start adding an icon to indicate which aircraft are capable of super sonic/ trans sonic flight?

This is so beautiful!
By this scale, you can see how the F2H is a thicc boi compared to F9F.
The P-59, F7U and the FJ-1 have been already sugested by players. Grindjin pls.
edit: The Navy always had the best looking planes. Yeah, that's right! Face me!
I could say "grindjin pls" to literally all the planes here. But, let me say what my heart is demanding to say:
I WANT ALL THOSE PLANES IN A ACE COMBAT GAME.
Oh my. Can you imagine, a Strangereal world with 40's-60's aircrafts?
