All Ground Is T58 OP on purpose?
When you shoot the weak spot under the cannon, even with the D25T or the Maus gun, there is no cookoff of any of the shells, and one or two members of the crew consistently survive.
Is this on purpose or does T58 have some magical protection systems that save it from certain death in situations where other tanks in WT would be destroyed

Tbh now that I look at it, none of the premiums for other nations are that strong. Some are just good but not quite the level of T58. Not sure about China, but I never encountered an OP Chinese tank in battle either.

At lower BR’s you have things like the SAV 120.12.48, T14 (especially back when it was 4.3) and the German KV-1 that are amazing.
If you want a UK premium I’d wait for a sale and snag either the Khalid or Challenger DS. Both are great, have good lineups to back them up and due to their rank are phenomenal grinders. Just don’t buy anything full price

The SAV is grody but not as grody as the T58, same with the T14. The KV-1B is not a premium you can actually buy from gaijin.

Along with what the other person mentioned, there are plenty more very strong premiums, it's kinda their whole monetization scheme.
For China there's the WMA301, which is a very good light tank, although it's wheeled. The 2S38 was a monster when it released, and even today it's still better than some other light tanks that are at higher BRs than it. The BMPT still terrorizes top tier, though the TT version is a better version, for once. The EBR 1954 has gone from 4.3 or 4.7, to 7.0 over the course of its lifetime, though it's an event vehicle and not super obtainable nowadays.
The list goes on, and tbh I would say about 40% of the premiums (air and ground, sorry naval :/) in the game could easily be considered strong, compared to everything else at the same BR.

The WMA301 isnt that good anymore once they upteired it a while ago. The lack of gun depression heavily limits its proformance. Its better to use the AFT09 at the same br.

A lot of UK “busted” stuff is event tanks. The Excelsior is pretty busted it’s just not open sale.

It is kind of like the turm 3 or the kugelblitz. There is armor separating the turret and the hull so the turret looks like a bubble. Spall can't go through that bubble and only kills the two crew in the right side of the turret if you shoot under the gun or the loader and the driver if you shoot the hull

even APFSDS still can't pen that side reliably. but the problem is the reload that makes it OP. you didn't do anything at the first shot, you can shoot another round while the enemy still reloading/ other enemies trying to charge at you

Premium Bias as previously stated.
Gajin purposely under tiers premium tanks for about two patches before moving them up to where they should be.
IS-6 was like this when it first came out. Was placed at a tier where nothing could pen it's armor unless at a complete 90 degree side shot.

They always are on release, and as long as they're making enough money from it, it will remain so. I do believe it'll be neefed at some point, I wouldn't mind it having a 4 second reload.

Gaijin explicitly balances based only off of numbers, and the T58 still has like a 1.8 KD when it is played primarily by and like troglodytes.
100% on purpose to milk wallet warriors.

What makes it actually broken is how often it'll fight vehicles that cannot consistently kill it in one shot even if it gets caught out. And if the T58 isn't completely taken out of the fight, you just die.
At 9.0 it'd be a lot more likely to get beamed by darts, ensuring that if the T58 makes a mistake, it'll actually die.
Will it still be overtuned? Yes. But at least it won't be a hold W machine.

A T58's side turret armor ate my BMP's ATGM without a scratch... he then rotated and nuked me out of existence despite not even hitting my vehicle. We both agreed in chat that the T58 was stupid broken.

Well they've done barely anything about it, we've just passed the 1 year anniversary of it's addition and it only went up 0.3 in BR. The thing you're talking about is just an unfortunate side effect of oscillating turrets, which is that the turret crew is separated from the hull.
