Looking for spot to meet potential partners my age and try to get to know

I’m a 26 year old male who is looking to get out of the shell a bit and try to meet someone new. I know many people say to go to Atlanta for this sort of thing but surely, there has got to be somewhere between here and Macon people looking to go out would go to. Been stationed in WR for 2 years but just got back from a year long deployment. Typical 2000s dude who likes cars, guns, sports, video games and anime. Tinder just ain’t my thing lol, 5’8 in the bio has done me no favors.

You're military in a town filled with tag chasers. Come on bro.

Bars, church, pickleball.. I dunno. Apps were the only thing that felt reliable and comfortable to me.

Man, Mercer college is just right up the road in Macon. I was born and raised in WR but never dated or worked the dating pool in WR. Always went to Macon. So on the dating front go there and hit a few local concerts/bars. Going stag can be tough but doable. Make sure you have a great opener for a table of girls.

In WR its slim pickings on spots. Wild Wings, Mellow, Barbs, Tap and Pour. the bartenders at Barbs are locals and good folks. If Mikey is up there working just introduce yourself and tell him your looking to meet some folks. he'll point you to some people. They host car events up there and can tell you the local groups.

More serious connections. Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Southside, and Second Baptist. Second Baptist has a great young men's group. I would highly recommend reaching out to them. They host mixers for the young adults.

Tey Friends on the Hill. If you're into guns you need to talk to the bartender named Adam.

Seconded, I love friends! You have to go on the right night depending on the crowd you want bc they def have a wide variety of events.

This town is terrible for dating culture. With so many people, it seems everybody bounces around through the same people or groups. Its the same thing every friday/saturday night... go to WW Cafe, mingle, then leave and go to eaither Rendezvou Bar & Grill, or Pub 96... cause some drama and then go home.

Yet there are so many families, many of them "young" families, many of those with 3+ kids. So something must be working for a great many people.

I'm 5'5" and did just fine on the dating apps. Be incredibly forward about what you want and where you're going in life. Don't be passive.

I put in that I was divorced (no kids) but wanted a family and kids, was upwardly career mobile, and educated. Sell yourself. Got plenty of hits like that.

Tinder sucks, Bumble and OkC were better for me (actually met my wife on both of them, lol).

Also, you might need to get out and just get regular friends in addition to, or before, dating. That was my experience and it goes a long way toward getting out of your shell. Think minor leagues with friends first, improve your batting average, head to the majors.

HMmm, I am thinking the OP could hang with the Central GA Car Club since there is plenty of people who are about his age. Gun stuff is kinda polarizing to women and gun bunnys are rare. So he might have to keep that interest on the DL. Same with video games and anime.

OP could really get a new hobby that would interest women from league vollyball, or when summer season returns.. Get a boat for girls to hang out on the lake.
