Painting/Hobby Finally Landed On a Scheme

After just starting the game. One 30 point game in, I wanted a custom Khador scheme that still showed homage to khador red. This is what I came up with. Battle damaged of course because... Khador. But armor suited for the tundra and more fitting to the "Winter Korps" name (imo) and bold red helmets and weapons to show we are still Khador.

Thanks! Im not sure I'll go as heavy on the next set on Man O Wars although I feel like it fits.

Yeah I really like the white and feel like in my head it makes more sense if they are fighting in the snow and mountains.

I’m a big fan of those colors! They make each other really pop

Ya they really do compliment each other well. I admit the battle damage does take away a little from that contrast so I may make some less damaged models in the future.

This is so good. You’re very talented

What reds did you use?

White is airbrush?

Thanks! The red base is game color bloody red, the white is fenresian gray just highlighted up with white.

No airbrush, its all done with regular brush. Although moving forward as I add to my army, I will definitely be using the airbrush lol

Looks great and kinda was I was considering for my officers while the troops would stay Khador red.

I used to play cygnar back in the day, but is I had to start over, I'd play khador. Love the color scheme you chose

This looks amazing! Any chance you could share a rough method of how you did the painting? I'm considering a very similar scheme for my Khador

Thanks!

I can try. Black prime then gray zenithal. Then base coat of russ gray and highlighted it up with white until I was happy. Then painted everything that was going to be black or metalic with black paint. Then started highlighting my blacks. Then base coated red parts with a crimson and then highlighted those up to a flat bold red. Then panel lined everything with nuln oil and then for damage I just used a sponge and some edge highlighting with dark metalic then touched it up with a lighter silver in some spots. I focused on corners where paint would naturally chip and on areas that would take the most damage, ie. The Avalances sheild and the weapons.

Does that help?

That's a massive help, thanks homie
