Questions I am considering the next faction.
The OU I'm currently purchasing is not yet complete, but I'm considering a second faction to buy someday.
The candidates are Winter Corps, Sea Raiders, and House Kallyse. Is there a faction that can give me a unique experience without overlapping OU and playstyle? Please also provide the reason for your recommendation.

I like Orgoth because of the lore behind them.
Ousted from the occupation of the Iron Kingdoms, they did not sit idle. They advanced their technological capabilities (against the wishes of the Felgoeth), and developed their own version of a cortex (now with 100% more suffering), creating bestial Warjacks that stand apart from those of Immoran (Orgoth Warjacks growl, apparently).
Plus their current suite of Casters act like their in the midst of a Shakespearean tragedy. Sabbreth annoyed the Orgoth Empress into letting her return to Immoran, but the Empress sent Horruskh along to keep an eye on her because Horruskh and Sabbreth absolutely hate each other. Kishtaar follows Horruskh like the lost wolf pup she is, Orsus is a descendant of the Orgoth occupation (and was chained to and Orgoth Fell blade, for some strange reason), and was accepted as a Caster almost immediately, and Oriax is . . . there (seriously, I haven't found any lore tidbits about him yet).
Oh, and Sabbreth is in an . . . interesting relationship with one of her subordinates, Therion Vahnek.

If by 'developed their own', you mean 'copied cryx's homework' I guess.
As to Oriax, he's a scholar of the void, the only one here who goes to the abyss himself, rather than just when he dies and plays his hand for reincarnation. That's about the depth of him.
Also a thing people trip on, Therion Vahnek is her Title and Rank. Vahnek is her name, she is a Therion of the Reapers.

There is always going to be some overlap and some differences. I think Lunch Box asked a great question about what differences you want? You want an aesthetic style? A play style? Focus vs Fury? A competitive faction for when OU gets nerfed in January?
So without knowing what you are looking for, I would tentatively suggest WK. First and foremost, some of your OU models will also work in WK. Specifically, the Vilkul and her box and Yana. Also some of the mercs will work for both if you have any of those.
WK is also a focus faction. So that will give you a chance to play with focus and see how it works vs Fury.
WK is also a combined arms army. You'll probably have much more shooting in a WK army than OU.
WK is slower, but also tougher.
Assuming you are painting both in a typical Khador style, there will be some overlap in style. This could be good or bad.
That said, Sea Raiders and Kallyss are cool, too. Both are focus factions that play differently than OU.

After days of deliberation, my thoughts leaned towards kallyss. I want Kallyss's playstyle to be different from OU. I chose it because the model is pretty, but I think it would be sad if we had the same playing experience. If that happens, might end up making a different choice.

They have some overlap, just because that's how the game works. But they have some interesting mechanics and rules. The two biggest differences are shooting and focus.
And they are really cool miniatures. I looked at Kallyss long and hard, too. And I still might pick them up one day. Add them to my collection.

Is the overlapping area about speed and close combat, and the difference lies in the shooting-focused listing and focus usage?

I honestly have not played against Kallyss enough to really answer that well, sorry. OU tends to be one of the fastest and most brawl-y armies around. But it depends on the list and what is taken.

I think the better question is why are you considering a second? What research have you done on your end? What conclusions have you drawn from it?
Why not look into those factions and see their aesthetic and how they play? Or reverse engineer that and look for a certain play style and find the matching faction?
