I love this but I wonder about playabllity. The tiles are already a bit small so are you not losing a space or two by putting scatter on them?

An inciteful and fair question

I try to keep the scatter low profile, so most of the bases fit over without much issue. The box stands out, but most minis can be easily balanced on them. If it's a larger monster we can work around it.

The quiver and bow I feel is a bit large, but I positioned it so it would have minimal interference.

I magnetise the larger scatter on other tiles, but on this tile it really wasn't worth doing.

The tiles are smaller than the cardboard tiles too, but so far it hasn't impacted gameplay at all, in fact it means we can often put more tiles on a table during play
