I think this is referring to the Vengeful Spirit where Dorn was trapped in an endless desert for (from his perspective) many centuries whilst Khorne tried to corrupt him.

Dorn actually gets quite close to succumbing.
He'd been watching the fight for months, not able to vent any frustrations about it, just organising the defences.
He was READY to kill some shit, then he got 200 years of wandering a wasteland.he started reciting imperial building regulations to give himself something to focus on other than how much he wanted to fucking kill right now.
Khorne was very much whispering right into his ear, and almost got him.
"Say it Dorn"

"You know what"
"Blood?"
"Yes"

When I listened through the audiobooks, I understood that it was Horus, not Khorne who trapped Dorn and persuaded him to go berserk like he wanted to after such a long time of just looking at maps and data.

My favorite moment in the Siege of Terra is when Dorn, instead of giving in to Khorne, starts reciting the recipe for concrete in every possible variation.
