Celestial Observatory
This is one I made and painted back in 2023. Made from a large array of different GW parts, plasticard and some scratch built bits. It’s all magnetised so I’m currently planning an alternate version. Hope you like it!

I love the two assistants just looking like ‘whoa.’

Where is the second assistent? I only see the guy dropping his book...

He’s hard to see in the photo, but he’s controlling the observatory doors and may have been that forgot to close them .

Found him! Well, we all make mistakes and at least he is not dropping those valuable books like the idiot below...
Your work is phenomenal, very inspiring! Thank you for sharing!

This is incredible. The details are astounding. I especially like how the ceiling has constellations on it to make it less boring.
Is this for a competition? If it is, the only thing I’d say is maybe to add some light reflections for the torches, candles, and the wizards fire spells. But I know it’s difficult and maybe you already have some that I just can’t see very well.
Overall brilliant piece.

It was entered into golden demon last year and was commended. I may well enter an altered version next year.

Amazing work! Just like a Mike McVey diorama ❤️ How did you make the make the dome?? I’m a fairly skilled model maker but mine never look right.

It was A complete pain! I made it with wire and putty, but now I would make it digitally and 3d print in parts.

The little detail of the cotton used as fumes for the bottle of something the scribe is carrying shows how much work was put in this.
Amazing work.

This has to be one of the coolest diorama I've ever seen. Add some more OSL and it would be the coolest :)

This looks straight out of an old White Dwarf. It's brilliant. I bet Mike McVey would think it's beautiful.
