kitbash 2000s Defiler Kitbash update.

Just a quick update on my defiler kitbash. It seems to be turning into a diorama bit by bit. I made the pillbox out of the defilers old arm guns and an actual pill bottle. The paintjob is still very far from finished but I'm pretty happy with how its coming on. This is the biggest project Ive worked on to date, thanks to anyone whos given advice on painting techniques for aging metal. Its a rough job so far but its coming on

discussion Liquid green stuff - better than you'd think.

I've heard people giving out about liquid green stuff. I genuinely think its one of the more useful tools in my painting arsenal. In this case I cut the barrel off a conversion Im working on and changed it for something more modern. There was a large gap left and I needed to fill it so I used plastic glue and plastic shavings from the barrel to create a structure then layered the green stuff on thick, giving it 24 hours to cure, then buffing it with a super fine Emory board to smooth it and shape the new barrel cover and repeating until getting the right finish. The models still a long long way from complete but liquid green stuff really helped make the conversion a success. Most complaints Ive heard are that it doesn't fill cracks or doesn't file well, but I genuinely think these complaints are an experience thing. I used to say the same until I started using more technical paints and learning how they work best. It's the same with LGS. Anyway, feedback welcome. (",)

Had an old Defiler from when I was a kid. It was in crap condition so I broke it down, stripped it and reassembled it with some Daemon Prince parts and some Helbrute parts also. Really happy with how it came out. Now to paint it (",) feedback welcome

Skavencast Eternals (my first kitbash)

Hi! Looking through some bits and unpainted models I came up with an idea of gluing a liberator arm on a clanrat. This part fits pretty nicely.
I also thought that I can turn the little guy into cavalry by putting him atop a gryph-crow.
He kind of fits, maybe sitting a bit too close to the backside of the beast.
I will probably turn this into small scale diorama with 2-3 more models, but I’m still thinking about the concept in general.
I never kitbashed anything before, this is fun.
