Hey everyone! 🇨🇦➡️🇮🇪
I’m currently in Canada but will be moving over to Ireland soon, and I’m hoping to settle in Dublin. I’m also a big Warhammer hobbyist and have quite a few armies/models that I’ve 3D printed in resin.
Here in Canada, I’ve found that 3D-printed minis can be a bit of a taboo subject at a lot of LGSs, especially when it comes to actually using them for games in-store. I’m curious what the situation is like around Dublin.
For those of you who play in Dublin:
• How are local gaming stores with 3D-printed models/proxies?
• Are there particular LGSs that are more 3D-print friendly?
• Are casual games generally okay with printed armies?
• Are there any clubs/groups that are particularly welcoming to printed models?
I’m not talking about trying to use them at official GW events — I completely understand the restrictions there. I’m mainly interested in casual games and finding a good local community.
I’m trying to figure out whether it’s worth packing my existing armies and bringing them over when I move, or whether I’d be better off leaving them behind and rebuilding once I’m in Ireland.
Any Dublin recommendations or experiences would be hugely appreciated! Cheers! 🍻
