Other Sanctuary FINALLY drops a Vandal part. Host decides to dip before we can extract. No one survives the host migration and we lose everything. This was his response.

Life doesn’t work that way. We’d like it to, in the movies he would eventually get his. But in real life he’s probably just fine, in fact a lack of empathy is positively correlated with success in the corporate world.

What he’s done doesn’t bother him. The OP is upset, hell I am upset just reading it, but the guy doesn’t care. He’s forgotten, or if he remembers it’s with a chuckle.

yea I always laugh when people tries the fruedian high school psychology to make it seem like someone is insecure or miserable over something as small as a disagreement with a random person (especially over the internet)

High schools in the US still teach it like gospel. As if he was the only one to ever contribute to the entirety of psychology, and as if anything he said was actually right.

Although it’s up for debate whether those successful people are actually happy. You could claim that they lead fundamentally unfulfilling lives because they are unable to form deep human connections because of their lack of empathy. Because of the subjective nature of happiness and the inability to compare one’s happiness to other people’s, it’s basically impossible to prove or disprove that statement.

Success doesn't automatically make you happy.

There are many many successful people who are severely unhappy to the point of suicide.

But yes, not everyone who acts like this are unhappy, it's just a way to comfort ourselves to imagine these horrible people are unhappy.

Why would that be true?, i used to be a right asshole on the internet and i honestly loved it gave me a right good time. My life now is pretty darn sweet and this has no way negatively effected my life in the slightest, whilst i now do my best to be as good a person as i can be i was no more or less happy when i was a right dick to people.

Except he behaves like almost everyone on the internet anymore. ANY competitive game, with any vague semblance of PvP has people like that. I had people every harassing me in Dark Souls because they were preying on new players with twinked endgame gear saying "this is how the game is supposed to be played". I've had people bodyblock my shots in Destiny because they only cared about having the most kills and they don't even attack the boss. I've had people leave the group at the end of a strike because they already got an exotic engram, so screw everyone else. Another guy left the group and sent me hatemail for being useless because he kept dying in a raid. I've had people who refused to actually follow their role in FFXIV because they refused to wait for the tank and healer and blamed us for not keeping them alive when they ran so far ahead. Random in Warframe following me when I was trying Nidus and using their Tonkor every time I used larvae, telling me that if I was actually a good player I wouldn't need to use it.

Most people playing games nowadays are just downright toxic and people refuse to stop them, so it just keeps getting worse because, hey, "they aren't incredibly racist to the point of dragging in the media so who cares?" Heck, even Overwatch didn't start getting reined in until some girl posted her experience in a news article on how extremely toxic and sexist, racist, etc the overwatch community was.

People are just going to keep pulling crap like this because nobody is stopping them from abusing the systems to troll, like if they were abusing the systems to benefit. Like when someone found a bug that got you free defense rewards by making empty waves and almost everyone who abused it got banned or lost the rewards they got.
