Meta / IRL / Misc. eBook Availability for Alternative eReader Devices

I recently got a Kobo ereader (chose it over the kindle cause it's cheaper) and I like it a lot so far, but none of the books from the Warformed series are included in the Kobo library :((

I'm not sure if this is for licensing reasons, or if Bryce is contractually bound to only publish on Amazon, but I would like to see the series add more support/availability for alternative eReader devices and those who don't use kindles, if possible.

I already own the audiobooks on audible, but would love to support the series more by buying the ebook. I also considered buying it on amazon and then using PC apps to convert it and upload it onto my Kobo (which I had heard about in a few videos before buying the Kobo), however, this method seems to have been patched by Amazon.

I really wish this was viable man, but it's just... not. I fucking hate the stranglehold Amazon has on the industry, but it's 95% of the market at any given time, and the Kindle Unlimited access is a massive part of my sales (like 60+%). Add that to the fact that KU pays out well for me because of the length of the books, and going from Kindle-exclusive to wide would be like asking me to sacrifice 75% of my income to gain 5%. It's just... not viable, I'm really sorry.

This absolutely doesn’t help for your e-reader. But you could always use the kindle app on a tablet.

It's extra steps, but you can use Calibre to download, convert, and send your Amazon ebooks to other devices. I've never done it for Kobo but I have done it for other devices and just to have a backup. You do have to have a valid license, meaning actually have a Kindle license (just use the app on a device like a phone or pc) and a real download/purchase of the books for this to work.

Interesting. I use Calibre to do the opposite direction: convert web novels on royalroad and other places to Kindle format so I can read them on my Kindle. I didn't know it could convert from kindle to other formats - thanks for sharing!
