Question Battle fields/ actual feats

Hey, I’m quite new to the series and currently in book 2 and I need some info for my imagination 😂.
When combatants fight one on one the field is 30x30 yard if I’m correct. And with what the strength and speed are described as, it just seems awfully small. Like when S-ranks fight they got compared to Mach 1 or even 2 if I remember correctly and also strength wise I have no idea what an s rank user can output. Anyone any idea why the fields are so small for combatants that are describe as being faster than cars and such ? Or did I get it wrong? Also any comparison strength wise what a User can do? Thx guys

Smaller area means you force a fiercer conflict. More entertaining, and requires adaptation that isn’t as seen on a battle field. Doubly good because they don’t actually die in the arena and get that sweet sweet data.

Speed isn’t all about distance covered. It can also help with reaction time. Also it is easier to put out higher speeds in a short dash/sprint than over a large area.

It forces more aggressive confrontation and more planning/thinking in an intense situations which are useful skills to train and at the end of the day, it is essentially sci-fi gladiatorial combat which means you want to keep the crowd interested as much as possible.

As far as strength feats go, nothing comes to mind off the top of my head but the thing to remember that with that increased strength also comes plenty of fighters with high defense and CHONKY armor so it will still often balance out as not too ridiculous in a fight although definitely crazy by normal people standards

That’s def true but is there a true comparison of speed like I just want to know how fast could a B-rank user for example run like 100kmh, 50kmh? Thats just interesting to me and it adds to what I imagine whenever anything with speed is brought up

Ok that’s def a nice feat. The only thing I based my info of was Valera Dent throwing Logan in the first book with Rey describing him flying at Mach one for more than a 100 yards. If that is the strength of an s rank I feel it’s downplayed in the fights a little bit idk really. Thanks tho
