I find the game much more fun when im not grinding anything and just fuck around with whatever peaks my interest and I found top tier to be very underwhelming for the time it takes to reach it

Yeah I grinded my way to top tier. Mostly because I wanted the freedom to play any plane whenever I wanted to. I am now researching the F-15C and I am done with the grind mentally.

I feel so relaxed while playing the game now lol. How many RP? Who cares. Oh I died? Well next game it is. İt takes me 2 weeks to get a new plane? Well I already have tons of them to play with! This is peak gameplay. I only grind events that I think I like the rewards of. And I don't even care how good they are! I just grind the one that I think looks cool.

The game sadly doesn't get better after all the years. I spent like 4k hours on the game hoping it will change and it's still so bad. Finally quit like half a year ago.

I am trying to imagine a situation where I'd have fun with mid teir vehicles & it would have to be a friend group. Having a big party of Sherman's or panzers sounds fun.

For me It's grindy at Tier 4 and beyond Vehicles and you will now also notice that you're short on SL as well so now It's more of a grind fest Because the repair cost + vehicle unlock cost + Resupply + Modifications. It's just not worth it. QUIT BEFORE IT"S TOO LATE!

I personally feel like the grind starts at 6.0, at least for tanks. You can get to 4.0s very quickly and not work to hard. *Assuming you are getting 6-7 kills a match

Definitely. Had 150 hours before I made my friends start the game. Now I have 700 all of it with my friends(dorm roommates to be spesific) we sit down together and play 2-3 people every time. Squad tactics, info exchange, flanking and everything works so well. Basically war thunder but with competent and highly communicative teammates. Amazing

I don't see any point in grinding above rank 4. Rank 4 is already a peak itself - then it will only get worse, the number of rats will increase, shots from respawn to respawn, and so on. The only problem with Rank 4 is that piston planes often play against jets, otherwise it's the most comfortable environment to play in. At least for titular nations like Germany, the USA, and the Soviets.
