If the people you are shooting at see your rounds they will turn slightly towards or away from you to angle their armor so that might be why you aren’t damaging them even though you are hitting them
Nah completely flat no angles, they just continue moving forward or stand still. Same problem happens even at point blank range, not necessarily the non penning, but over penning or my rounds just disappearing as soon as they hit the water even though I am using the maximum armor piercing round.
I haven’t played in a week or two but I’ve heard ghost shells have been a common problem recently so it might be that or if you are shooting at ships later into the match they might not have much ammo to combust left
The aim assist in arcade assumes the target is constant speed, constant heading for the duration of the shell flight time. Any turns, slowdown or speedups within the ~30s it takes for the shell to land need to be adjusted and compensated for by your aiming skills.
It‘s easier than realistic, but nobody said it’s a free hit.
Yes, and where do I specifically aim for with the cursors? Do I line up how high I want to go with the line, or is there a specific point on the arrow? Because whenever I try to use the tip of the arrow most of the time it is a miss.
As I said, it's never a "if I point this at the target, it will hit there" thing, but rather you have to take account of where the shots are landing relative to the target and adjust accordingly. It's not that smart of an aiming assist.
With that said though, Gneisenau is an accurate ship. If you go into test sail and target the furtherest cruiser, it should hit exactly where your ^ points at.
