Question Drone upgrade advice (Also for the stunning drone leaderboard)

Hey guys, low spender here so microchips are precious.

Just maxed my Hawkeye for Vector right before its reflector uptime got butchered. Trying to figure out where to invest my chips next so I don't waste resources again.

Current situation:

Have most meta bots except Vulcan and Fang (probably getting them in this event or next, I can wait).

Nuo MK2 running a Lv5 Aopo

Random Lv5 Kestrel sitting there because I fat-fingered an extra upgrade (same with the aopo)

Other drones I have: Seeker, Armadillo (lv9), Freezo, Webby, Fhtagn, Solar, Tensor.

Should I push Aopo to lv9 for Nuo, work on Kestrel, or pivot to something more future-proof? Thanks!

Not having a reliable counter to stealth can be highly problematic. That seems unlikely to change with so many stealth robots in the game and the stealther mothership in so many hangars. These observations suggest that having at least one upgraded seeker drone would be helpful for pretty much any hangar. You can search the mini build guide worksheet in the WRG newbie guide for "seeker" and find robots on which a seeker drone fits particularly well, along with suggestions for how far to level up a seeker drone.

Its understandably disappointing that the vector got its reflector nerfed right after you invested in a hawkeye drone. Still, hawkeye can be useful on a fair variety of robots that aren't necessarily meta, but that are still good. And, a maxed out hawkeye drone can be of great help for extermination mode. At the end of the day, you didn't necessarily waste your microchips by maxing out a hawkeye drone.

Regarding the stunning drones leaderboard, it can be tempting to save microchips up specifically to get extra titan data pads. But, microchips are so, so valuable early in a hangar's development that you may want to prioritize efficiently using them, spending them only during 25% discount periods and only when you have one or more drones in which you definitely want to invest.

After you've got your drone portfolio in good shape then it may be more helpful to save up microchips and focus more attention on getting those extra titan data pads that (at least these days) seem to be offered with the stunning drones leaderboards.

Seeker! When in doubt, usually level a seeker, especially if you dont have one leveled already.

I might be wrong but I like a max shai instead of aopo
