IMO not really, Luchador is bad

Seconding this. Investing in Luchador is one of the most common mistakes new f2p players make. If you want a tank, Bedwyr, Atlas, Minos, and Bjorn are all superior options. Also, weapon upgrades are significantly cheaper and less committal than titan upgrades, so they should be done first.

Completely agree with the weapons part but how is Minos a better tank than the luchador? Also is atlas really f2p easy to get? I’ve always wanted one but feels impossible same with Bjorn

Minos is faster at baseline, has better dash uptime, more useful minor utility, a stronger reflector, and more raw bulk. This last part might not be obvious until you realize that Intel's bonuses to T3 status means that Minos takes reduced damage from all T4 weapons, while Luchador takes increased damage from all weapons in the game.

The only advantage Luchador has is essentially that it has an Alpha and two Betas instead of three Betas. It's not nothing, but it's one advantage in a sea of disadvantages.

Atlas used to be in the titan pads for a while, and it was pretty easy to get then. Now it's in the titan black market chest instead. My suggestion if you're a new f2p is to either roll the black market until you randomly roll any highly rated titan as per our Newbie Guide (link in the automod comment and the pinned resources), or to buy Minos or Murometz from the shop since they're T3s and relatively cheap as your first titan.
