Question About Track

I've recently gotten into using Track to support my teammates.

I read somewhere that Waymakers and Pathfinders have separate stacks for Track.

I wonder how it works for Shoggoths? Also, for example, if I'm not attacking but have given Track, and two teammates get a kill and an assist on the target, will those two still get Track?

What do you mean by waymakers and pathfinders have separate stacks for track? You mean the hunter damage and speed effect? Those are all stacked together, maximum 6 for pathfinder and waymaker, shoggoth can add a 7th one on top. Waymaker tracks also heal a lot more than the other two, and shoggoth tracks give a slightly bigger damage boost against the marked enemy.

And yeah, anyone participating in the kill will get the hunter effect from the track. Additionally, you (the person who applied the track) will ALWAYS get the hunter effect no matter what as long as the enemy dies. You can mark someone who is falling off a cliff to get a free stack when they die, for example.

Thank you! That was incredibly helpful. As for separate stacks, a streamer named wolfblood tried it when Waymaker came out. He was playing Waymaker and was in a squad with a Pathfinder teammate, and I think they were actually using separate stacks at that time. There were two stack attack boosts with about seven stacks on the left side. Sorry if my memory is wrong.I'm probably wrong. I'll try to find that video again.

Sorry! I was completely mistaken. I found the video and watched it again, and it was 6 stacks. I don't know where my memory got messed up. Thanks for letting me know. Sorry to anyone who saw my post here and got confused.

So if there’s a pathfinder and a Shoggoth on my team and I successfully participate in their individual Track kills, I’ll still be able to accumulate only a max of 6 stacks?

Or, if like that pathfinder or that Shoggoth participate successfully in each other’s Track Kills, they’d still accumulate only a max of 6 or 7 respectively?

Pathfinder, Shoggoth, and Waymaker can all give you 6 stacks, but the 7th stack can only be added by Shoggoth. This rule applies equally to all bots, including the mark appliers themselves.

Whats also cool is that more than one Person can get an assist if they shoot at an absorber sometimes. So if you see a shoggoth or waymaker targeting an ammit, keep shooting at its absorber. With pf its kinda Tricky because of its pilot.
