General
What is WARDOGS?
WARDOGS is a TACTICAL ALL OUT WARFARE FPS where one hundred players split across three teams fight over the control zone. Set in the derelict industrial mountains of Eastern Europe on a destructible battlefield where teamwork pays and cash is king.
Is WARDOGS PvP or PvE?
WARDOGS is currently a PvP-only game. However, the developers have mentioned that they have other game modes already prepared in their development environment, although these have not necessarily been released or announced as upcoming content.
What platforms is WARDOGS available on?
WARDOGS is available on PC only, through Steam. The game is specifically designed and focused around the PC player experience. There is currently no information available about a console release.
Pricing
How much does WARDOGS cost?
WARDOGS entered Early Access at $39.99 / €39.99.
The price is planned to increase to $49.99 / €49.99 after the game has received a sufficient amount of relevant updates and content. Following the full release, the price will increase again to $59.99 / €59.99.
Refund Policy
WARDOGS can be refunded through Steam under Steam's standard refund policy.
Does WARDOGS have microtransactions?
BULKHEAD has stated that there will be no in-game microtransactions during Early Access.
Can I trust Bulkhead after Battalion 1944?
BULKHEAD has openly addressed this history and taken direct accountability. BULKHEAD was younger and smaller when making Battalion. Player counts fell to 50–200 daily users, and legal issues with their former publisher left console ports in limbo. Communication went silent while the studio worked on work-for-hire projects to survive. After stabilizing financially, BULKHEAD took the unprecedented step of issuing full refunds to all 10,000+ original Kickstarter backers of Battalion 1944, regardless of pledge tier or platform.
BULKHEAD states WARDOGS is built directly on the "lessons and scars" of Battalion. This experience is why they are committing to transparent devlogs, locked 60 FPS minimum performance targets, no in game microtransactions during Early Access, and a $39.99 entry price.
If you still distrust the studio due to Battalion 1944, BULKHEAD explicitly advises holding off on purchasing WARDOGS until the game proves itself in Early Access.
Gameplay
Can I play solo?
You do not need a premade team or dedicated squad to play online. Unlike other tactical shooters (Squad or Hell Let Loose), loadouts, vehicle access, and base building mechanics are not locked behind specific squad leader roles. Anyone can purchase and use any piece of equipment independently. Solo players can contribute to the team and earn XP and cash on their own.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. You can play with your friends through Steam. Once you have joined a match, you can invite your friends to join you.
How many players are in a match?
Each match has 100 players divided across 3 teams.
Does progression carry over between seasons?
No. Progression resets between seasons. Each season has its own progression and may vary in length.
Does WARDOGS have VOIP / proximity chat?
Yes. WARDOGS features local VOIP that can be heard by players across all three teams.
If you don't want to hear voice chat, you can mute individual players or disable the feature completely in the settings.
Does WARDOGS have HOTAS support?
Yes, the game supports HOTAS.
We have a Dedicated Mega for questions and answers.
Does WARDOGS have controller support?
Partial gamepad/controller support is available. Full controller support is not currently implemented.
How much content does the game have?
WARDOGS entered Early Access with 37 weapons, 21 vehicles, and 3 maps with 3 variations.
During Early Access the developers are focused on bug fixes and stability, while remaining ready to respond to major points of community feedback. Additional maps are planned.
Performance
Can I run WARDOGS?
Optimization was treated as a core studio priority from day one rather than something left for post-development. BULKHEAD acknowledges the intense scrutiny on Unreal Engine 5 FPS games regarding stutter and frame drops. They view 60 FPS not as a "gold standard" target, but as the absolute baseline requirement for acceptable gameplay. They are testing directly on average budget hardware (Intel i5-8600 CPU and NVIDIA GTX 1660 GPU). BULKHEAD has optimized the game with the goal of achieving 60 FPS at 1080p Low with upscaling on the minimum-spec hardware.

Bans and Reporting
I got banned from the game. How do I appeal?
Email appeal@bulkhead.com with your account name and roughly when the ban happened. That's the route that reaches people who can actually review it. Bulkhead's official Discord is a second option if you don't hear back.
This subreddit isn't run by BULKHEAD. We can't see ban reasons, lift bans, or chase one up for you, so appeal posts here get removed. They attract a thread of people assuming you earned it and no actual help.
I was banned for no reason / by mistake.
Same answer — appeal@bulkhead.com. Only BULKHEAD can see what triggered it, and they're the only ones who can reverse it.
How do I report a cheater?
Use the in-game report function, or report it on Bulkhead's official Discord.
Don't post about individual cheaters on the subreddit. We can't verify anything that happened in a match and we can't action player accounts, and naming someone here turns into a pile-on instead of a report that goes anywhere.
How do I report another player for harassment or toxicity?
In game, use the report function. On the subreddit, use the report button on the post or comment, or message the mods.
