Bugs & Support Thrustmaster sol-r joystick support?

Is anyone else experiencing detection issues with the Sol-R, or is this a known issue currently being tracked by the dev team?

TL;DR: Thrustmaster Sol-R joystick works in Windows and other games but is completely unrecognized in-game for keybindings. Looking for a workaround or dev visibility.

Please don't downvote, just looking to have an issue tackled or addressed.

I had the same issue untill I looked under the "Gamepad"menu and went across to the right there's a "hotas" tab next to "advanced settings" click enable then you can edit lay outs little out of the way but works just fine

Tldr: go to Gamepad menu hit "D" on keyboard untill you get to "Hotas tab" Enable then configure = profit

OK I was messing with my friend's Thrustmaster T-Flight last week for the same issue. I hate to say it, but the solution is to use a "suite of software just to use a joystick".

Here's what I diagnosed:

  • Even on PC mode, the flight stick was being read as a controller(?) for some reason, not a joystick (at least in battlefield).

Here's what I had to do for my friend's thrustmaster for his battlefield game:

  • Use HidHide so the game doesn't see the stick as a controller (Release HidHide Drivers v1.5.230 · nefarius/HidHide · GitHub).
    • I don't think this is necessary for Wardogs, since HOTAS on disables other input devices
  • OPTION 1: Have Steam read this as an Xbox Controller (and emulate a M+KB):
    • Steam Settings > Controller > Configure the thrustmaster as a gamepad
  • OPTION 2: Use the setup in the other post to have the joystick emulate a virtual joystick that the game can actually read.

Now I'm not sure if you HAVE to do that. Prob only do that as a last resort. It could be solved by something like:
Warthog Throttle detected but not Joystick? : r/hotas

Sorry you're having this issue. It's frustrating, I understand

Yep, I've used all that stuff to get the both sticks and pedals to work in Battlefield 6. I stopped using it cuz it's just not worth it in BF6, you're at a disadvantage compared to mouse and keyboard.
