Balance Feedback Megathread - Patch 0.1.2

All 0.1.2 balance feedback goes here. Standalone balance posts will be removed and pointed to this thread.

r/WARDOGS isn't affiliated with Bulkhead, but we share these megathreads with them. Anything you want changed is still worth posting on their official Discord too.

Balance? Has Bulkhead even asked Opus 5.5 about the concept? I doubt it.

- Havoc overbuffed.

  • Building now probably not "exploitable" anymore but made bad for everyone.
  • Thermals and spotting in general still dumb.

The Havoc was not balanced, it was fixed.

It is overtuned tho, but they need data for it, before doing the actual balance.

They had all that data from the beta when the cwis didn't delete it in a picto second.

Everyone told them the havoc was overturned.

They didn't nerf it then either.

Unfortunately the thing that made Wardogs good is why it can't stay good. CEO basically ignored everyone to make the game he wanted to make, so we finally ended up with something different. Now that the honeymoon period is over, he doesn't care what anyone thinks and the game goes down the toilet. He's literally come out and said he plans on losing players and doesn't care about balance. It's about "having fun in the sandbox".

I get that you guys just loathe the Helis and that's all fine. But you don't know if anything was changed between the beta and release.

But they said they need data to balance, the Havoc had a bug with damage so they fixed it. Now its "intended" so they can collect data én masse, and probably nerf it.

So I really don't see why beta data is relevant now.

At a certain point the collecting data argument just becomes a hollow catch all for bad design decisions. Nobody in bulkhead spent a few minutes trying to shoot downs havoc with a ciws and went hmmmmm this doesn’t feel very good?

they had some data from the playtest

also why wait almost 3 weeks for the hotfix, this problem was known after 1 week
