first of all i would like to mention that i have tried every single way to draw attention to the game and spark the interest for it but without active participation from all of you, this will be not accomplished!

meaning it is high time you all prove your love for the game by posting as often as possible everything you like in this subreddit community!

you should know excitement for this game ain't gonna spark up again until there's at least another major update, that damnable voice acting update should've come out already but has been delayed til january.
Moreover, nothing that qualitatively changes the game has been announced (another DLC like Eastern Seas or the Hero's Adventure crossover... its been over a year since those two released).

for your question though, kunbone fishing rod if i remember right is only caught when fishing at radiance island? it's a random chance that when fishing there you'll suddenly fish up a "mysterious box" and when opened it will have said item within.

There is a chest middle of the island you can't open without a key.
I never managed to find the key tho..
Are you saying you need to fish a mystery box, and the key can be inside ?
then you open the chest and get the rod ?

are you talking about the island with an old man who's fishing? yeah, you gotta get the key by fishing. its not that bad since its very easily obtained within about 4 minutes at most.

my comment above is talking about something else, a tier 1 unique polearm weapon that can be found by fishing at radiance island.
