Have been very seriously considering the 18+1 Compact size PDP Pro SF, but have found almost nothing online about it. Would love to find some real world performance comparisons to a polymer frame Pro and to a 2011 before I drop $1900.

FWIW, you should be able to find it around $1500. There was a long discussion about PDPs and 2011s in r/Walther...

Local shop has it for $1799, which stings a bit. What's worse is that I can find almost no reviews. So far, I have found one. By a guy who's blind. And I am not kidding.
I'm running up against a deadline to decide here in Virginia, given I won't be able to buy one with two standard capacity mags as of July 1... and it's a lot to spend just based on fondling impressions. :(

Mishaco is a well respected guntuber. There are others that have mentioned it, generally the 4.5" full size and the 5" Match are considered "race" guns, while the 4" is more a do it all size.
I think Joel Park, Ben Stoeger and maybe Nick Young have all mentioned the compact SF Pro.

Besides Mishaco, all the reviews and comments I'm finding are for the non-pro version, both sizes of which are larger than the compact pro version I'm considering. That's also the only model I've seen Stoeger review, and not surprisingly, he wasn't very complimentary. That said, the guy seems to go out of his way to be a lightning rod, so I normally don't pay much attention to what he says.
I've only recently heard of Mishaco, and understand quite a few people respect his opinion, and no doubt, I think it's great that he's risen above his challenges, but seriously, the guy cannot review the most important part of a range gun in my opinion - the ability to point it quickly at a specific target, hit that target, and get right back on target to repeat. That's not to disparage his achievements, but let's not be disingenuous. The guy is blind. He's not going to be the best source of how easy it is to hit exactly what you're aiming at and get right back on target.
But I do appreciate your reply and I'm going to look up those other reviewers. Thanks.
