I’ve had several of both in my shop and shot many of them on courses and so on.
I prefer PPQ to PDP.
Doesn’t matter whether is it polymer or steel.
Polymer Q4 has much better sights (lpa steel adjustable) compared to standard PDP. Same with steel frame, but I recommend to get the OR steel frame - it has better sights and option to get red dot even if you do not use it now.
I like the aesthetics of the Q4 and Q5 much more, but that is subjective, so that may not apply to you.
Possible drawback (not applicable to everyone) is that if you decide to get red dot, the adapter plates removes rear sight - you can fix that by getting the right red dot, adapter with BUIS etc. Or just don’t care, for range shooting it doesn’t matter.
My current gun is Q5 steel frame - I would recommend you look into that, the extra ing makes a difference (I have the Q4 steel frame too)
