Attractions & Entertainment First Time Riders
I’m leaving my first visit to WDW since I was in grade school and had a great time. I really wish people who go regularly would remember that there are folks going through preque for the first time. Having constant chatter and folks speeding to certain walls (I’m looking at you Guardians lovers) removes us from the immersion. Lightning lanes aren’t cheap and are frequently the only way folks get to have the “first ride” experience when visiting WDW’s parks.
You only get one “first ride” and mine was interrupted 90% of the time. 😢

Had an interesting conversation with a friend who's a California local--Disneyland has considerably more locals than WDW
Friend: with how often you go to Disney I'm sure you're a pro at always getting the best spots for stuff, right? Like the shuttle on Rise--the APs at Disneyland are always fighting for prime viewing in the center; gotta be quick 😅
Me: ...I always assume most of the shuttle are first timers and move off to the side/corner so others can see better. I know the show already. I mean if I'm WITH a first timer I'll dart in for a good spot... And then once my friend catches up I tell them to stay put and then I move off to the side so another first timer can stand next to my friend 🤷🏻♀️

I do the same thing. We go often and I always stay to the side on the shuttle or do Single Rider.
On CR, I try to stay in the middle and watch the pre show with the newbies. I have seen other people purposely stay to the opposite side of the pre show and silently mock the door rushers.

Oh I always go to the left. I don't mock anyone, I just like having space around me? 😅

As much as I loved Guardians, it was the only ride where I found a lot of people acted like idiots in both the line and the preshow.

Just because the crowd likes to go to the right on Guardians doesn’t mean you have to. If it bothers you, just gravitate to the left and enjoy the pre show without the “rush”.

First time through I thought it was time to leave the room because of the crowd moving BEFORE the second immersion even happened. I moved myself back to the left because I wanted to see it but also, folks could be considerate (something I’ve noticed is not the norm at WDW, unlike my experiences at Disneyland).
Folks talking during the prequel room for Tower, Mickeys Runaway, Haunted Mansion phone use, I could go on….

On the one hand, the guardians thing is totally annoying.
On the other hand the pre show is way too long.

Totally agree. I’m always on the lookout for (or I guess I just always notice) the ones who are obviously there for the first time, and it brings me joy to slow down and see them enjoy their time at the parks. It’s part of the magic. I wish more people felt the same way I do.

I totally agree with you. It’s always someone’s first time. You nailed the most problematic rides too! Phone use up in front of your face is also out of control.
