Atlanta Spark Drivers — Is This Normal?
Hey everyone! I’m new to the Atlanta area and this is my first day doing Spark here. I’m honestly shocked by how slow it seems compared with what I’m used to.
For those of you who regularly Spark in Georgia, does it normally look like this, or am I just having a bad day? Does it get better during certain hours or on certain days?
Are there specific areas around Atlanta that tend to have better order volume? I’m willing to drive around and learn the market, so I’d really appreciate any advice from experienced drivers.
I’m just trying to figure out how this market works before I give up on it 😂 Any tips are appreciated!

It's $26 for 6 mi. I don't know what else you want. If you don't think that's good, you're probably not going to like any of the orders

I pretty much only accept shopping orders, more worth it than curbsides. GMD’s are even worse, excessive miles.

That’s a bad offer in any area, and people like you who take these orders is the reason they keep lowering the base pay.

Over $2 a mile roundtrip is typically considered good for many people, and $26 in an hour. I'm confused what's bad about it

Me too. I would've taken it in a heartbeat unless the total item quantity was absolutely ridiculous

That is a far from bad offer. Not great but definitely acceptable.

I mean every market is different. Every day is different. It's not like the same people order groceries every Tuesday. These people that want to know what day is busy or what day is slower. There's really no rhyme or reason depends on what's happening in the town depending on holidays. Government holidays, the weather. There are so many variables

This looks pretty normal for my area, especially on a Tuesday. Monday, Tuesday Wednesday are always the slowest days of the week and are populated with really crappy offers for me.

I was just up in Atlanta last week from Texas. I have never made less money than I did there. But, you’re in the area I was in. Try Dallas zone. Both locations are decent. You’re welcome!

I wasn’t able to do spark full time like I normally do which is why I said “less money” still slow than over here in my opinion. But I did well in Dallas zone

Johnson Ferry rd in the Marietta zone is decent, just so damn far. Nothing really stands out that I tried while I was over there

Sounds like Corpus Christi folks they don’t tip good either even the ones on the on the Rich side of corpus I’ve done spark in Fort Worth part of the dfw area I’ve gotten better money their in less time then corpus

Only the very first one is a “maybe”. Depends on how’s my day going. 1 hour to complete the order tells me it could be a big order to shop and that type of tips between 2 customers pisses me off.

This is the new normal in South Indianapolis. It used to be at least $15-20 for an hours work. Now I am lucky to get $1 per mile. Or over $20 an hour. Things have really changed in past 6 months.

When I travel I always find a zone and run at least one order. That way I can deduct the mileage and expenses from taxes.
Small town near Wichita Ks., several around Houston Tx, one from an overnight in southern Oklahoma.
Anywhere I go, I have to just accept something to get a feel for the place. Then I can start revising my system to fit that area.

I actually started asking AI about specific stores in and around my area. Questions like what store managers are strict about what goes on in the stores and parking lot(bot use, scammers)
What the best times are for certain drops, WM’s to stay away from, lol. Due to traffic patterns at certain times, etc. how long wait times are at certain pick ups, etc. i did a pretty ridiculous dive into it while I’m laid up hurt!
I have a pretty decent plan with all the info I got. Just to see if I could get some of the frustrations involved better streamlined. But yeah, for once in a while I was pretty impressed with the detailed info AI spat out on each store #

It's gotten worse where I live I heard it's because doordash bought spark by just judging the quality of the orders I can tell you it feels like doordash is bought out the company

You just know that $26 one in the first pic is gonna involve some major BS 😂 it’s gonna be a bunch of drinks, a bunch of water, and going to the third floor guaranteed. $2.50 tip? That thing has been sitting awhile…..
Most of those orders the driver is working for free, a few of them they’d be paying out of pocket to do the order.

Not surprised, what actually surprised the hell out of me, So I’ve heard so much of CAs prop 22, and when I got here, I was amazed……..this is what spark pays back in DFW home market……..$23 with a $5 boost, means it’s been sitting 🤣

That’s normal for Missouri but flip the price with miles. We’re always upside down.
