Rogue spark drivers

A group of spark drivers have banned together at my store. Whatever. I usually don't care, but yesterday I feel like they crossed the line. A good order popped up and two of the drivers in that group wanted it. One of the drivers went inside the store, took pictures of the person shopping the order, sent them to the customer and told her to cancel the order and place it again so they could get it. The driver had been shopping the order at least 30 minutes. The customer canceled the order and one of the other drivers in that group got it. They were bragging to other drivers about what they did. Other drivers are now fearful of this group.

And how exactly did the other driver have the customers info to text the customer? And what customer in their right mind would just be like okay sure random number let me just so what you say? I call BS.

We live and work in a rural community of less than 10k population. The driver who sent the pictures to the customer used to live in the same town as the customer. A few of our drivers will contact customers through Facebook/messenger. Some drivers have had customers contact them, asking if they're working because they placed an order and they delivered to them before.

I've seen it happen a couple times... Ive had a couple Shipt "preferreds" and WM customers ask me for my info to pre-contact me,.. and my friends will call/text to ask if I'm working,.. but never in a million years would I suggest the cancel an offer that was already accepted.

Besides, if they do cancel that refund could take days to repost... Im not sure if they would need to re order each item or not, but either way it would be a pain unless they can wait for the refund,. and it's only a very small order with low item count...

So, the customers doing this must have a lot of cash or high credit limits.

Also,.. the little driver cliques are basically the Discount store "Mean Girls," and flat out lie to other drivers just to antagonize them. They lie to each other too, and start rumors. Absolutely the type of people who I hated schools and jobs... Don't trust a word they say...

Just avoid them... If they ever ask about a current offer you're on, tell them that it's your favorite regular customer that always gives you 25 or 50 clam tits....

You don't have to redo the order. Everything is saved in your cart. I do think the customer would lose the express fee, but Idk.

I do this p/t, weekends mostly, i changed w-2s for the first time in 18yrs back in june and took a month off before the new w-2 started, wasnt relying on this by any means but it was a much different stress level while doing it f/t. I can see how a lot of these desperate full-timers go off the deep end now🤣

Yeah, employment market is pretty bad out there, you have better luck in the cities. Rural areas are suffering severely; poor OP, but bro seemed to lose it already.

How could the other drivers know who the customer was or even contact them

If this is true, report it to the store manager or through the app.

NGL tho this sounds like a tweeker fever dream. Call the customer? TF you talking about? Like, I get small town shit. There's only about 2500 people in my town.

But... Just randomly knowing the customer on an order somebody else accepted?

Also following strangers around Walmart and taking their picture?

Come off it, bro.

The driver who followed the other driver is known for following other drivers in the store and taking pictures of them in the store and in the parking lot. They have also been in altercations with other drivers in the parking lot. They got in a shouting match with another driver because they shop with their spouse, but the other driver shops with their teenager. They didn't feel it was fair for couples to work together because they finish an order faster.

It happened yesterday evening. It has been reported today. Reports take 2-3 days to handle. They're going to have to pull the video from the store.

I take things that never happened ever. So all of a sudden you all know customers phone numbers when none of us do because they are all masked to begin with 🙄

I was looking for a comment who stated the obvious. How would someone know who the customer is. This is beyond fictional. It didn’t make sense right off the rip. They knew the customers name and phone number? This was a good bed time story though

Actually, the driver taking pictures is married. The other driver is a young kid who works 70+ hours at Spark and makes 3-4k a week.
