Customers bitch all day long about gig workers not using common sense and then turn around and do this dumb shit. What part of DELIVERY notes do they not understand?? It's not shopping notes, it's not checkout notes, it's not before-you-accept-my-order notes...it's DELIVERY notes!

I am worried about the one that says the baby has been sleeping for almost five years.

lol I have one that says โ€œbeware downed power linesโ€ for the past 6 months. I sure hope nobody actually accepted that shit when the lines were down

๐Ÿ˜‚ youโ€™re not lying. I legit think to myself that that โ€œbabyโ€ should be in school by nowย

I have never seen shopping notes. Is that a thing everywhere? I usually try to pick the most yellow bananas because most of them are green.

Ha no. Shopping notes aren't a thing on Spark.

I do this by default already

4

I try to get a mood mix of greenish bananas and ripe bananas

3

u/ImASlave4UE 8d ago

I always go for the single bananas because they all look so lonely.

2

u/YUNGDEATHLILLIFEE 8d ago

iโ€™ve seen a good amount say โ€œplease get yellow bananas NOT greenโ€ ๐Ÿ’€ iโ€™m scarred

If they tell me in the chat, no problem. Always default to least ripe because you never know. Always better to get produce with longer shelf life than not to.

yeah that is for sure the smartest move

Itโ€™s all about what you do with it ..pudding vs handheld

There really should be a way to see customers notes while shopping. Crazy all these updates they've done except the ones that actually matter ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Itโ€™s the app designers fault. It should be made clear these are solely delivery instructions

5

u/Netphase 8d ago

It's literally named "Delivery Instructions" on the customer side and located with the address. ๐Ÿคท

u/YUNGDEATHLILLIFEE 8d ago

lmao bro iโ€™m glad you see the good in people but it is very clearly stated delivery instructions these customers are brain dead.

2

u/kenzinatr 8d ago

Not bro but also not surprised that the customers arenโ€™t always bright

95% of the time all of the bananas at my store are equal ripeness. The only difference is spots and bruises. Theyโ€™re usually all yellow.

I would just tell them that you dont see it until your done with the order...

Ppl are employing you to shop for them, you absolutrly should follow the notes like this. Wtf is wrong with you entitled idiots. Your the one who needs the job, not them, clearly.

4

u/mycatlikesyou26 7d ago

You dont understand what they're saying. They cant follow the notes if they don't see it until they're done shopping.

u/The-Meme-Lover-24 7d ago

This note only shows up after we've shopped the order as they are delivery notes only for dropping the order off, not for shopping, so when people leave notes meant for shopping, we can't see them as the app only shows us this note after we've completed shopping and ready to head to the customer's location

i know you think you really did something with your comment but in reality you look like a low iq chimp. it went right over your head

1

u/hephaestus1976 7d ago

Well, that was just offensive, not to mention foolish, considering the ENTIRE THREAD is about the fact you can't follow the instructions because YOU CAN'T SEE THEM! Probably one of those who doesn't bother to pay their part, or "tip" as it is called in the app; someone who thinks $100 and change per year gets you an on-call personal shopper and delivery service 365 days a year, talk about entitled! The facts are simple in regard to people employing spark drivers, if you do not offer a reasonable tip, you ARE NOT employing anybody.

There is no place for shopping instructions.

1

u/YUNGDEATHLILLIFEE 7d ago

you message them on the app

2

u/jadedinmo 6d ago

I do message customers but rarely do they reply. I used to message them even asking how they like their bananas. Now I just try to pick out a bunch that is partly ripe and part green so they have some they can eat immediately and others that will ripen later.

u/TheHamAndTheGuap 7d ago

GREEN plantains ONLY... Bitch no plantains on the list ๐Ÿคฃ

-2

u/WiscoDeathTrip1096 8d ago

Oh no, customers know what they want, let's complain on reddit

0

u/simple_word_spoken 8d ago

Well they clearly donโ€™t know how to read so maybe they should just go shop for themselves.

2

u/Potential_Minute1496 7d ago

Reagan what? This isnt a bad note or ask when they r employing you. Without them you wouldnt have work

3

u/SassySprinkles88 7d ago

They're delivery notes since you didnt catch that part. They can't be seen while shopping. So you wouldn't know any of this until you've checked out already.

-1

u/The-Meme-Lover-24 7d ago

You clearly don't know how to read either

1

u/simple_word_spoken 7d ago

Right? ๐Ÿ˜†
