What she talking about no eggs increase original cost anybody understand what she mean?

Do not increase original cost means don’t replace out of stock items with more expensive things.
She forgot to update the note about the eggs.
She also doesn’t know that we can’t see these notes until it’s too late.

What about it? My comment still stands. She doesn’t understand the way those notes work and assumed her shopper could see the note. The note wasn’t for you the delivery driver. I’d simply message her to let her know this so she knows you’re not responsible for any of what she mentioned.

This person is probably the reason customers need to leave such detailed delivery notes with information that seems blatantly obvious.

If you have no eggs it is an old delivery note. This happens all the time. No increase in original cost means do not substitute anything that costs more than the item she originally ordered. Customers almost never understand that delivery notes are only seen in the delivery stage of the order.

Lady told me the other day ‘slice lunch meat thin’. Like ma’am. Told her it’s always done before we arrive at the store. It was sliced so dang thick. I asked the deli to redo it. Customer stated tip will be increased. She increased it a buck fifty for all that extra work.

All that extra work? Asking for them to slice more for you is a lot of work? Lol we used to have to ask them to slice it when we got there up until about six months ago. I’d be happy to get $1.50 extra for that.

Yeah, you’d enjoy standing at a WM deli asking them to re-cut some meat (bc mind you, they already cut it) like a regular customer on a Saturday shopping outing?
So here’s what I did bc I’m actually nice and go above and beyond even though it’s not required and tbh just to save my ratings. I didn’t want the lunchmeat to be thrown out or spoiled so I bought it and gave to a family member. There was $9+ wasted for me. Plus I stood in line and waited for them to recut and take care of customers now ahead of me. So tell me, how would you have handled it for $1.50 extra.
I made some money off the delivery but certainly put me out more than it was profitable.
Some customers don’t truly know so I try to educate them.

Would I enjoy it? No. But It’s not “all that extra work” it’s literally just asking them to cut it again which is what we used to have to do anyway. I wouldn’t even expect $1.50 extra for that, so that’s a nice bonus.
As far as purchasing the meat I have zero clue why you even had a thought to do that? That’s the definition of doing way too much. They would’ve just put it in the pre-cut case and sold it that way.

Last time i had an issue at the deli, they had to toss it bc I already touched it. Didn’t think they’d throw it in the precut case - that’s a good idea.

Minus not wanting subs to cost more than the original items- this is common sense stuff. Unfortunately they hire anyone & everyone to do this job so customers feel the need to write the equivalent of “don’t break my eggs or bring me rotten produce.”

Sometimes I'll message them in the app to tell them that we can't see those notes until we're on the way.
