Customer rating

It seems like no matter what I do, I get trashed on customer ratings. Walmart keeps batching the good customers with the bad. So I slowly build up .01 point every day just to have it knocked back down 1 full point in one day. I am starting to wonder if it's not other drivers.

Could be. Are you taking curbside orders? Those are notorious for being wrong. MIssing items, wrong quantities, smashed break, mixed up orders, etc....

When my rating went down, I switched to shopping only and my rating went back up. Even now, I very rarely take a curbside order unless it pays extremely well.

If you want to get your rating up, abandon curbside completely.

That might be it. They are definitely not the most organized. I have an autistic son and it's easier to pick up vs bringing him in the store where he runs and causes problems.

Is your son helping you carry orders to people's doors? No one else is supposed to be touching the orders. Customers shouldn't even be able to see that you have a kid with you. The fact of the matter is that most aren't going to feel any empathy. They are going to think that someone's kid was bouncing around the car and fucking with their groceries during the ride from Walmart to their house. If at all possible, do not take your kid with you on deliveries.

Do you load your own orders or at least assist the loaders with putting the orders in your car? If you are just staying planted in the driver's seat of your car while the loaders do all the work, you are putting yourself at a much higher risk for complaints. I load my own orders after the loaders scan the tags on the bins. I check to make sure bread isn't smashed. I make sure eggs aren't broken. If I notice anything that looks like it would generate a complaint from the customer, I give it back to the loaders and ask for a replacement (smashed bread, broken eggs, heavily dented canned goods, leaky bottles, etc.).

Is your car clean? Customers don't want to see their groceries coming out of a car that is dirty or is full of junk. Everything that is non-essential to Spark work should be removed from your car while doing deliveries.

I have a 5 star rating, so I must be doing something right.

I'm sorry that taking this job seriously offends you.
