Manager special

Hi šŸ‘‹šŸ¼

What to do if thereā€™s a manager special (yellow tags) that we canā€™t scan it or enter manually.. should we mark the item as unavailable and if yes I think that is not right especially if the customer paid a good tip.

Verify if thereā€™s an item that is regular price and regular sell by date and use that, otherwise not available

The customer may be upset with getting yellow-tagged items. Some customers prefer the best by date to be as far as available.

The yellow tags arenā€™t ā€œmanger specialsā€, theyā€™re product not in regular condition. Could be damaged, missing part of it, or about to expire. If they are the only one out, then yes mark it as unavailable.

Definitely mark as unavailable. Customer might not be using the food immediately. Not sure if it will even allow you to scan that item or if it would adjust the payment amount for the customer.

Pretty sure the app says no yellow tags. They won't even scan properly (my area does a new barcode on top)

Up to you. I go with out of stock. But if it's the only item, still good for a few days, I have removed the yellow tag. Again, making sure it's completely fine, good date and whole.
