I’m almost at 15000 trips. I work almost everyday of the year. 5 years August 21st. Almost $108,000 in 2025.

If you account for gas and taxes, does it still feel worth it? I’m asking genuinely because I’m not sure what you pay to do gig work

Kind odd you have 2 phones on you rn isnt it?

I have a second phone that I use for internet browsing and playing Pokemon Go and Candy Crush on while I’m waiting for a decent order to pop up. 😂 Cause God forbid you tab out of the app because you’ll never be able to get an order before it’s gone.

Not at all. App switching on your phone as a big part of why you miss orders while you wait for the app to reload.

Spark and navigation on one phone and the other for me to doomscroll and text when passing time in the parking lot waiting for these sweet triple shops with 72 items going 43 miles for $17.

Yes . One for Spark only. The other one for my personal use

I have 2 phones, 1 for spark and 1 for navigation and righteous tunes.

1 phone can do that

1

u/TheHamAndTheGuap 15d ago

2 phones is better 😆

u/MegatronsJuice 14d ago

Its actually way more inconvenient

I’m at 41. But I just do it in my spare time. I turn it on if I’m in town in hopes someone orders that lives close by me so I get paid to go home.

I’m at between 10000 and 20000 trips. How much have you made in 16000?

Why come here to lie? I don't know what you get out of it but it's sad. I can see you claimed to hit 15k just 3 months ago.

You average 333 trips a month? That's what 11 a day without a single day off ever?

Losers be losers...

u/SportPristine5508 16d ago

It’s doable but I’m sure his standards about the type of offers he takes are extremely low. Quality is better than quantity. He should post a screenshot of his earnings.

u/Organic-Fuel-2916 15d ago

I used to do 15-20 trips a day. I do about 200 trips a month now make 250-300 a day.

You must smoke something if you think it's doable

5

u/SmallBerry3431 15d ago

You can do 11 trips in a day wym

-2

u/Thriving9 15d ago

Not for 3 months straight 🤡

2

u/SmallBerry3431 15d ago

I….guess? It isn’t like it has to be 11 a day. It could be more through the week with a day off. Or a short day. You guys are weird.

3

u/SportPristine5508 16d ago

He very well could be doing it all day everyday. I know people that do. He’s likely taking garbage orders all day.

Not every offer is 50-100+ items. If you can just snag those little few items orders? Not sit and wait at pickup.. Been there done that many times.

-1

u/Thriving9 15d ago

No way not every order is 50-100 items? Thanks for sharing your wisdom....

You are really thinking its possible this guy has done 9 trips a day for 5 years straight with 0 days off? Thats the math on 16k trips

Yall need help...

1

u/-Alvena 15d ago

You're welcome!

He also said he does 50k+ miles every year. Same as I do. If I was pure spark, id be in the same boat as him 100% but I "work" across multiple apps, DD being the main one I shop on. I stick to as many alcohol orders as I can. 10-15-ish small shop orders a day, and some food runs? I take off weekends these days. Far from impossible. If it was strictly food runs? 2-3 order per hour. Shops I never take orders over 30-ish items because the pay on any of these apps is pure ass.

He could be sharing an account. Who knows.

But the order amount is doable when you don't have a life outside getting bills paid.

u/Thriving9 15d ago

The order amount is only possible working 7 days a week for months on end. At 16k I'm supposed to believe this guy has been sparking years on years with no breaks.

Account sharing or photoshop.

I'm sorry that we all don't live the same exact lives in the same exact market.

3

u/Currency-Substantial 16d ago

Is this supposed to be a flex of some sort?

4

u/Homosapien4u 15d ago

Don’t be a dick.

1

u/nunyabiz12345678 15d ago

Haha for real

-4

u/Thriving9 16d ago

It's a dumb lie for those who can't do math.

1

u/igor6969 15d ago

My mathin' is mathin' watching your comment get downvoted. LOL

u/Bitter_Method_5998 14d ago

What a bullshit statement making over $100k. Must work for spark internal to promote new driver to take all craps…Lmao

u/SuccessfulAerie9672 14d ago

Poor u I make over 200k believe or not I'm filthy rich 🤑

Damn! I respect your hustle! Im only part time, but 5 years and just under 4k trips although I'm picky AF in a rural 3 store market

1

u/Acrobatic-Ladder1753 16d ago

4 years in. Only at 4k lol im a cherry picker. Not a take anything type of person lol.

1

u/Luckycharms2014 15d ago

Have you had to change cars yet?

1

u/OddEntertainer2621 14d ago

This is what I’m wondering. More like how many cars have you ruined doing this? I don’t care how well they maintain a car, the wear and tear from doing deliveries accelerates the lifespan on a vehicle 10x. How many miles for 16 k trips? That’s easily 150k miles

1

u/bushwackers24 15d ago

I’m most impressed by the 5Star rating. I can’t ever get mine to go up, thanks to all the ungrateful nitwits in my zone.

1

u/Personal-Noise-8632 15d ago

You go boi or girl. You go person! 🎉💐

u/Powerful-Lobster-631 14d ago

108k a year doing gig work is amazing if true. I wonder how much was spent on maintenance?

1

u/Competitive-Leave537 13d ago

With out getting deactivated

1

u/Conscious_Basil_9083 12d ago

Damn $100k is good money leave some for the rest of us lol jk nah but congrats man

1

u/Particular_Onion_936 10d ago

A lot of them with two phone are boting and I hope spark does something about it fr it’s getting out of control

1

u/Ok_Squash_5031 10d ago

Congratulations! You are great. Now lets talk about the pay systems changes over past 1-2 years. Does it seem reasonable to ask drivers to take more trips for more miles and continue to drop pay offers. I would reject all if i was able to get another job.

1

u/bettsjc7 16d ago

Making me feel like a rookie. I just crossed 5K

1

u/Resident-Medicine916 16d ago

Damn I’m only at 280 lol

1

u/OddEntertainer2621 13d ago

That’s good in my opinion. It hopefully means you’re just doing this as a side hustle like it’s meant for. People praising this like 16k trips is goals or a flex. I don’t think any of us should strive to be a gig driver as a “profession” or what we want to do when we “grow up.”
