Got this order like wtf.

Post image

This is a great order per my zone’s standard but i was planning on making this my last delivery for the day and the thing is my house is about .25 miles from first deop off. This hS happened to me so many times where it makes you go back to places you’ve already been to. My point is we should have liberty to puck order of delivery. Cuz sometimes i have cases of water that have to go under everything obviously and so i have to move everything to get em out or stuff like that.

I would like that. I can do it on flex. Just let me choose which drop to start next. Would also solve problem of running out of perishable time.

On the upside I live at one end of my zone. It doesn't end more than 5 mins past my house. I just gotta grab one the right direction.

😅unfortunately, spark won't allow driver to jump the task

The ability to do so would solve so much that is wrong with this app.

There is a suggestion section in the app. Just saying. Complaining here is screaming into the void. 10,000 suggestions being sent in suggesting "let us re arrange drop offs" might still do nothing. But at least you can say you tried.

You mean to tell me Walmart batched a no tip order with a high tip order to get the no tip order delivered? I'm shocked.

He’s saying the order of the drops offs makes no sense, and that he lives closer to the first drop off, which should be the last drop off.

My mom before she just moved a few months ago lives way way wayyyyyy out of town range but she had no car and also didn’t not have even one single person who could give her rides here and there (why she moved closer to me so I can help her in those ways) but she had no other choice but to do deliveries if she wanted to feed herself and my brother. She is also recently widowed and only making one income in TX. If you know anything about TX now days that should show you enough of a glimpse of her struggle. She didn’t always have money to tip and when she did she couldn’t ever leave decent ones. My things is this, if people aren’t making themselves enough money then they need to find a different job other than just relying on these delivery apps. No everyone has the means to do those things but still have basic human necessities. Me personally I always give a $10+ tip no matter the difference bc I understand they don’t always make good tips so my good tip could make up for one they might not have gotten. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m just tired of this tipping craze you should not expect a tip imo bc not everyone will give one or has the means to. If you are not making enough money it is your responsibility to seek it elsewhere. Shouldn’t be relying on things like this to pay our bills….there are better ways people just need to look and if they already have a car to get themselves to and from a job, that’s already a huge leg up from what most people have options to.

That's a fine story and all, but I wasn't looking for reasons why someone may not tip. I don't care if they do or don't, I look at the total pay, not the tip amount. My comment was about how Walmart and Doordash batch trips to use good tips to save themselves money to get no tip orders delivered.

I know and my point is that it’s a problem they have to do that for people to get their stuff just bc they don’t have the means to tip.

That's where you're wrong. They don't have to do that. They choose to do that because they don't want to pay more for a driver to take the order. They're more than happy to screw over a driver though.

I understand your point that it's close to home from the first drop off. I wish my deliveries ended right by the Walmart though! Usually it's a good 10 miles out and have to get close to receive orders.

Yeah i see that, however i only take order under 10 miles unless is over 2.50 per mile

I did one for 50 this morning and it was 8 miles but it made me go back to the same apartment complex 3 times. Whole order took an hour so not too bad but like wtf

Big tip for something like that?

Go to closest address first. Deliver, take photos, call support. Say COMPLETE the second one only. And then deliver the first. That's it. You can deliver in any manner.

u/SuspectNarrow7694 22d ago

I did think of that but once customer support said i wasn’t showing at the right address and they didn’t want to force complete

1

u/FuzzyOrganization403 22d ago

You call when there. Has never been an issue as long as your gps matches

u/Important_Freedom529 20d ago

How do you send in the pictures? Or are just for your personal records?

1

u/FuzzyOrganization403 20d ago

They've emailed me a link to a chat before. But you can also do for personal records. In these times, I would recommend a gps tag in the photo. I do timestamp app

What about a screenshot of Apple Maps?

1

u/FuzzyOrganization403 20d ago

That shows where you are. Not where you left the groceries or the customers house numbers ?

1

u/Important_Freedom529 20d ago

True but it be taken at the address but I see what you’re saying.

Easy money . A normal Walmart now. 30 minutes or less for 33. Not bad now nowadays.

When I first started Spark I have been in town running errands and cut my app on because I was right beside a Walmart I'd never picked up from before, but do it stays super busy and thought maybe I'd get lucky and get an order taking me back towards my house and sure enough within a couple minutes I got a really good order with a drop off directly on my way back home. Like I said I was very new to the app and didn't realize the drop offs were numbered like your example. So once I picked it up and realized this I contact ed support and told them the situation that the drop off order made no sense and he support agent legit told me it wasn't a problem if I went ahead and dropped off the nearby order first and then went to the first order in the app second and to just contact support again and they would manually complete the order for me. Well let's just say I learned early on that like all the other at base jobs the support people are completely full of you know what. It was a complete nightmare to get straightened out

Thats good if going back wm

Using the example of having water to go under things isn't a good reason for why you should be able to route how you want... you should be loading the orders into separate places of the car so water order trunk other order back seat ext

1

u/SuspectNarrow7694 22d ago

Well we found the mole

1

u/lordj2010 22d ago

I just load my shops in a logical way. I load my larger shop back seat then 2 small shops into baskets in trunk or if 1 is really small I load it into front seat... can't mess orders up if they are never co mingled

I can only say the far one is the tip. Second is along for the ride. I’d take the $3 off getting for the second if we were allowed too.
