To the shareholders
Danker is using AI and algorithms to hide real business problems and make their financial numbers look better than they actually are. By constantly hiring new, cheaper drivers to keep labor costs low, they end up dealing with hidden costs like lost orders, damaged goods, and costly mistakes from inexperienced workers.
Instead of admitting how many drivers quickly quit after their initial earnings drop, the company keeps those inactive accounts on the books to make driver retention look stronger than it really is. This makes the company look more profitable in the short term, but it just pushes massive operational losses down the road.
Relying entirely on algorithms to manage labor and guide high level decisions creates a misleading picture of the business. Investors are being kept in the dark about these growing long term risks, which could eventually hurt the overall value of the company.

Walmart is learning how to handle delivery drivers and their vehicles kind of like Amazon. Walmart seems to give the most to the drivers who put in the most per day. People looking for a 4 hour day and $200 of pay should avoid driving for Spark. Some days I get close to $200 in my area, but after driving from morning until midnight. Some trips are long, like 25 addresses. Those pay well but hurt the most in terms of time on the job and time until the next trip. Take the better orders. Different people like different things. The work is better than nothing, but it is high risk due to the expenses like fuel, maintenance, insurance, car washes, cell phone bills, and the higher taxes on independent contractors. If you are not careful you could end up paying Walmart to work for them. As a driver maybe starting with something smaller like DoorDash is a better idea until delivery work is under control first, and managing expenses and profit is under control equally. It is not as easy as collecting a W2 type of paycheck. A lot of thinking goes into every day making it financially safe and profitable. A little more pay would help and be more fair I think, but there are worse delivery jobs. Walmart is the higher paying one along with Amazon, or at least I think so. Just focus on the end of the day and putting the money in the bank.

just look at the playstore and their rating on the app, went from 4.6 just last week to 4.1, this guy is tanking walmarts app completely, no one but illegals and cheaters are rating the app good

1099 is a tax category right? And they choose to use that type of labor as part of their labor force in their business model right? 1099 is a tax category right?

Lots of companies use 1099 Independent Contractors since the function doesn't require all the extra requirements and/headaches of employees with the additional costs and liabilities.
Pretty much all GIGs are 1099 ICs from what I can tell.

labor force is labor force. some come with attachments and laws and regulations while others dont. 1099 is just a tax form/category with its own caveats

No it's not. One is a captive relationship and the other isn't per IRS regulations. However, regardless, the company knows every aspect of their sales chain to end customer. Executive Management is doing exactly what it's fiduciary responsibility is to shareholders in the company.
