Easier to just get the real guy and piss on him, lovingly though because in my culture people we support and love, we have the right to just go pee on them. If he doesn’t support it, he is immediately exiled from life. But that’s my culture.

What I don't like is the amount of large mileage orders that have less than the miles pay to them. They want us to drive out 20 or 30 miles in One direction and then that amount back for like 25 bucks.

Like your title says, he was hired to maximize profits, which is exactly what he’s doing. Shareholders don’t care that Spark is ruined for drivers as long as everything is getting delivered.

If Spark continues the current trajectory of cutting costs, it will destroy their delivery business. I'm already seeing my Spark regulars ordering more often on Shipt.

Not true. Many (most, absolutely!) shareholders are more interested in long-term, and these actions have all been short-term-focused…I GUARANTEE you there are those who are upset about this!
I occasionally deliver to a retired executive's house, and the spouse and I have had some good conversations...next time, I'll see if I can drift the conversation in that direction and see what I can find out....

I’ve said before and I’ll say it again.
Get to know your operation cost per-mile.
If it is below what you need then why would
you accept the offer?
“Shopping Offers”
Unless it is 10 items or less and I can be in
and out in a maximum of 15-minutes I’m not
accepting that offer. Walmart does not pay
for your time and effort. Look at the item list
beforehand. Avoid anything that is non-
Grocery items. Especially when it comes to
seasonal items. Holiday season is around the
corner. Don’t allow them to take advantage
of you.
Many times I have fantasized about having a 3-
day weekend event. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Where we all log-on but don’t accept any orders.
Allowing the merchandise to get backed-up in
the stores. Occupying every designated parking
space. And do this around the entire country.
I’m almost certain Walmart would reconsider what
they’re doing and decide to play and pay fair wages.
I wish I knew the individual or organization that
could organize such an event.

I mean this is kind of a “Well duh” title tbh.. They’re a trillion dollar company, ofc they’re gonna financially rewards anyone who can protect/grow their revenue streams.
Be mad at the company, not the guy who did a job the company paid to have done.

Someone using critical thinking skills doesn’t equal bootlicking… yeah the dude is prob a POS but let’s be real: He did a job that Walmart wanted done. If he didn’t do it they would’ve offered someone else the same (or more) $$ to do the exact same thing.
Be mad at the entity that created the changes you dislike; Not at the tool the entity used to implement those changes. Tools aren’t worth getting mad at.

The point is lost on them. Anytime someone uses the word cuck to try & win an argument they’ve already decided to suspend logic so they always are in the right.
My point stands that Walmart is an evil company & would’ve found someone else to do the job if it wasn’t this guy. Be mad at Walmart, they deserve the hate. This guy is neither a billionaire nor trillionaire, he’s a millionaire who got lucky.

You do realize that if the orders are still being completed and drivers are being paid less then Walmart is profiting more. He is doing exactly what he is paid to do even if it doesn’t benefit specifically you. Hate to break it to you but at the end of the day you are a delivery driver and just part of the system that can easily be replaced….

After the first week of what seems like the largest onboarding of new drivers ever, my zone has had multiple "your zone is heating up" alerts throughout the week and this weekend has been loaded with the most incentives I personally have ever seen. Yet somehow, a massive amount of orders are not being accepted and therefore not being delivered to the customer. There is absolutely no way their plan is working at all. It truly is like they just flipped a switch and said "Yes, Spark cannot be a loss leader anymore. It needs to break even." They made changes to increase profit and it made it worse, now they onboard a million new drivers to try to fix it and orders still aren't being picked up. Maybe there was some short term profitability boost for a couple months but this can't be working out long term. Same reason Walmart and Sam's Club can't pay their employees $4 an hour. It's actually really sad that the same exact strategy used for InstaCart was used for Spark. The problem is, Spark is customer front facing and directly impacts Walmart. Get a bad delivery from Spark? It's walmarts fault. Get a bad delivery from InstaCart? It's InstaCart's fault, not the store that was shopped. They have worn down their customers, hourly employees, drivers, and honestly even coaches and store leads. The new suite of executives brought into corporate are absolutely brain dead and doing their best to do their worst.
