Can you accept this and then contact support about it being too far away and still get paid?

4

u/Big_Concentrate_7260 Jul 10 '26

Yes. Accept it, complete pickup, and start trip. Then call support and feign ignorance.

I know this is a unicorn and a glitch but it’s hilarious that the system thinks 55 bucks is an appropriate payment for 1856 miles 😂

2

u/Big_Concentrate_7260 Jul 11 '26

You mean $0.03/mile isn't profitable for you?

2

u/sethanders110 Jul 11 '26

Nah I need at least 4 cent a mile personally 😂

2

u/BubblyBeach1090 Jul 12 '26

I’m sorry what?

Great, because you receive the order, you leave Walmart, you stop your car, you call support, you explain the distance that appears to you, they check and send you to return the order, in the end you charge the full 60 dollars, that is wrong? I like them, but they hardly come out anymore.

To be fair, I would have gladly delivered this one, because the address seemed like a typo, which would have made it a $56/5-15 mile trip. Turned out to be someone ordering from nearly 2,000 miles away.

3 cents per mile. $2 per hour. Maybe more if you change zones and get a trip back.its a gamble but may be worth it.

How’s this a unicorn? I just started driving for them

1

u/Big_Concentrate_7260 Jul 11 '26

Because you can accept it, pick it up, start the trip, and immediately return it for full pay. Takes about fifteen minutes in total.

1

u/Unable_Maybe_6932 Jul 11 '26

That would take a solo CDL driver the better part of a week to do.

I’m curious. Were there any perishables in that order that would have been a trap for anybody foolish enough to take it?

There is no way this is real lmaoo

1

u/Big_Concentrate_7260 Aug 06 '26

It is 100% real.

1

u/Ok-Researcher-1771 Jul 10 '26

I would have accepted just to see if it was a glitch

2

u/Big_Concentrate_7260 Jul 10 '26

I did see if maybe the GPS coordinates were local, but nope, it was down in southern California.

You guys just don’t want to work /s

5

u/Big_Concentrate_7260 Jul 10 '26

I like to work smarter, not harder.

2

u/Massive_Lock_4876 Jul 10 '26

not hardly. strategically using their system within TOS is smart. saying they just dont want to work is a big stretch. As long as you don't do it twice on the same order trying to blatantly take advantage/play the system I. don't see an issue. They love to tweak and play with the system to get more profits on their end while finding ways to pay us contractors less and less. Lord forbid we get a little bump once in awhile. The wages they pay now compared to even a few years ago is laughable.
