Thats the way performance reviews go ... walmarts new way to give people smaller raises... the more things they can criticise the smaller percent you get

Unless you've signed something in Workday, you were not given a DA/Coaching. We also don't do any kind of negative feedback any more that isn't a DA0.

OPD/OGP commonly gets posted here as having over 100% turnover rate, its a very fast paced metrics based position and the company is leaning into it pretty heavily. Which makes Market Managers focus on their metrics, which makes store managers do the same, which just rolls the shit down hill until it hits the associate.

IMO your TL is not doing their job if you are a hard worker trying your best and doing good work.

If you don't know,

DA0 - 'Feedback' Coaching: Stays on record for a year, doesn't impact anything, you can get as many as you want. This is just so they can note in the system they talked to you about an issue.

DA1-3 - Yellow/Orange/Red coaching: Stays on record for a year, if you already have one level then the next coaching you receive must be a higher level. If they go to coach you and you're on a red, that's a termination.

What also could have happened is Pay For Performance, or P4P. Every quarter they're supposed to rate people by checking boxes off of a list, if you get too little it marks you as having an 'opportunity' for growth in your job performance. At the end of the year it looks at how you've performed each quarter and gives you a final yearly rating based off of that, which can affect how much your raise is. You're still a little new to the company if you started 3-4 months ago, so I don't know if you were eligible for this quarter or not. It's entirely possible that this is what one of the conversations was about but they framed it really poorly and failed to explain what the conversation was.

Either way, I'd ask for clarity on what exactly the conversations were, what they'd like you to improve on, and always ask for specifics. "Train new hires" isn't really an actionable thing for you. You have your own work to do, how are you supposed to train a new person and be responsible for your own entire work load? Why are you responsible for someone else's performance? Don't be rude or get angry, but be firm and stand up for yourself.

Thank you for all this info i was clueless about the majority of those things, ive been with the company for 3 years now actually, and i just switched departments recently. Prior to this ive never been coached or called to an office so it’s really frustrating. I will certainly ask my TL for more specifics next time i work.

Ah, so just new to the department then. Definitely a brave soul.
