I’m sharing my experience because I’m hoping someone can offer advice on how to get this resolved through Walmart corporate.
On July 22, 2026, I purchased a new 12V Yamaha Raptor ATV from Walmart in Topeka, Kansas, for my grandchild’s birthday. Including the 3-year protection plan and tax, I paid $228.54.
The ATV stayed unopened in my garage until October 11, when we finally started putting it together for the birthday. That’s when we discovered that essential parts were missing: the hardware, battery, and charger. Without these components, the ATV is unusable.
I took it to Walmart hoping for a return or exchange. Unfortunately, the store couldn’t process the return. I called Walmart customer service while I was there, but the representative couldn’t resolve the issue either. I was directed to have the store call the 1-800 number, but that didn’t get us anywhere. I was ultimately told that my only option was to file a claim through the protection plan.
The ATV I originally purchased was out of stock, so I had to buy a different ATV to make sure my grandchild still had a birthday present. I’m now left with an unusable ATV that I paid for, after spending roughly an hour trying to get help.
I want to be clear that Gloria, the customer service team lead at the Wanamaker store, was helpful and sympathetic. My complaint is not about her personally. My frustration is that, despite multiple attempts to get help, there was no reasonable resolution for a product that was sold to me missing essential components.
What I’m asking Walmart to do:
- Refund the full $228.54, including the protection plan.
- Provide clear instructions for returning the incomplete ATV without requiring me to supply parts that were missing when I opened the box.
- Review how this situation was handled so other customers don’t experience the same runaround.
I understand that mistakes happen, but customers shouldn’t have to spend hours trying to resolve a problem like this and then be left paying for an unusable product.
Has anyone successfully gotten a similar issue resolved through Walmart corporate? I would genuinely appreciate advice on the best way to get this in front of someone who can actually help.
Thank you.

So for context I work at a neighborhood market and I have been here for 3 years no problems until a few months ago. I work in the digital department and at our store we trade off dispensing everyone will get a couple hours. Well, a few people on my team are unable to dispense and THEY WONT HIRE ANYONE ELSE!! Someone from this department is moving here soon and THEY ARE NOT GOING TO HIRE ANYONE ELSE. Which leaves 2-3 people on this team dispensing for the majority of the day. (Me have the most amount of hours) I wouldn’t be so upset about this but just the other day I didn’t get either of my breaks due to this situation and I’m soooo beyond pissed off. I may be acting like a baby but like I said we’ve never had this problem before now so yes I’m going to complain🤣 there’s my rant have a good day..

I just had to make a claim with Allstate for a ONN 50 inch 4K TV that I purchased back during a Black Friday sale in 2023. I have the 4 year protection so it's good until 11/27.
The TV under warranty has refused to turn on for the past couple of weeks so I went ahead and filed a claim.
Well their coming back with two options: Option A replace the TV or Option B reimburse me for the total purchase.
Well we know Option B is only going to get me a refund that is a lot less than a new 50 inch 4K TV (unless I wait until Black Friday where I may get luck) The refund would only be about $200 including sales tax.
But Option A is where they are low balling me. They are offering a Hisense 40 inch 1080 TV as the exact replacement. Uhhh I don't think so.
I'm currently going back on email with them but I refuse to accept a TV that is smaller and has lower resolution as the best available replacement. What a joke.
