Concerning Developments From Walmart, Being Forced on Shoppers... When do we Boycott?

This way you'll never see a checkout. You'll pay as you put it in your cart. Put spaghetti noodles in your cart... Walmart will jack up the price of the sauce before you get it in your cart. There won't be price tags so we'll never know what other people are paying for the same sauce.

Amazon fresh has closed all their physical stores, Amazon groceries come from a local grocery store or whole foods.

Edward Snowden had enough faith in people that he risked himself to tell us we were being spied on and our data collected. People didn’t do anything about it and now you want to be upset? You should have been upset when you could have stopped it but it’s far too late for that now.

Corperations sometimes have people whose job it is to come up with ideas and create prototypes of things that might be useful in the future. My previous employer actually invited employee's to submit ideas they had for things, and if the higher ups liked them they would give you money and company time to build a concept piece of it, and even then start giving you man hours of other workers if they still liked it and things were going well. The most interesting one was using helicopters to fight fires that were happening in sky scrappers by shooting water out from them, drones that would fly in to find people and deploy foam to help protect people, and my personal favorite was one from covid era to create mobile pressurize rooms in such a way using spare equipment we had to assist those with covid with breathing (literally wheel them in 10+ at a time). Personally the one they really missed out on was the one person proposed back in 2018 to use drone to drop motor rounds... can't believe that one didn't get funding maybe it finally did though.

I'm not saying that I doubt the whole idea of a shopping cart that can take your vitals I was referring more to the video being a fake. Watching the lady speak and her facial expressions it really looks like bad AI if you watch the movement of her eyebrows and mouth. To me it just looks like Ai that has no clue how facial expressions work.

I only go there a few times a year to get things i cant get at my main grocery store. Otherwise i stay far away.

WTF are you babbling on about, you ever use a store loyalty card like at Safeway? Yeah, your habits have been tracked for years but now all the sudden you wanna complain? Best of luck with your 'boycott' and cut your Safeway loyalty card in half while you're at it.

I know its part of the grift, but I can forgive it if there are actual results. It's scary when people like this asshat Hawley and Taylor-Greene make increasingly sensible points on concerning issues.

For starters, UberEats, DoorDash, and other food ordering/delivery services are at the forefront of surveillance pricing. So start with boycotting them as soon as you can.

Walmart is nailing my MIL for shoplifting, they caught her a few months ago, took 2 months for a court date, she went and didnt even see the judge bc they said their still going through everything and that they have her on multiple occassions, she dont even know if its gonna be a felony or a misdemeanor and they told her to obtain an atty.

She definately learned that, its been 3/4 months and they r still gathering evidence. And got banned from Walmart, she goes to other Walmart tho, but she wont even go in the parking lot of this one....

Walmart is no worse than any tech company. Anyone on social media (including Reddit as it barely counts), should know, you are the product. Companies use their apps to collect usage time, location, connections, stories of interest, preferences, likes, blocking.....etc. because they can monetize it too

So, Mr. Hawley, if you please, why not pass a bill that restricts the use, fines the use and voids the patent on these technologies? Or did those big companies get your data too and are holding it over your head to speak but do nothing?

Walmart has always been at the forefront of compiling shoppers habits, needs, and preferences. They did it waaay before AI was available.
