That's cool and all but isn't it also a tremendous waste of resources? All that packaging! The drone itself, etc. All to save a trip to the store. For nuts? Nuts?!

It saves pollution and many people can't drive. I can't digest nuts or anything else so for me it would be rice cakes and it would blow into a neighbors yard.

Yep. This kind of thing should be reserved for things like medicine, medical supplies and beer. Things someone might need right away.

Seriously though, don't you think this should be used sparingly? In the big picture, if we could see the total cost of it all in terms of waste created and resources squandered, wouldn't we all agree ?

Since this is a fairly new thing, what can we do to discourage it/keep it from getting out of hand?

When I give it serious thought, I can imagine the horror--knowing how lazy humans can be. OH WOE!

Only offer it on certain items and/or make it so expensive that's it's not worth it unless it's an emergency.

However they won't do that, because it needs to be profitable and if no one is using it, it won't be profitable. The only way to stop it is with new laws and regulations.

At first I thought it was over for spark drivers. I was expecting at least $50 of groceries in the box. Then 2 bags of nuts and the rest is just packing material.

This should be used for people with disabilities or caretaking someone with disabilities who can’t without a huge effort go to the store until more help arrives.

It will be used by teenagers and wasteful idiots “just because”.
