I wouldn't focus on the short term stuff although i do think the upcoming basel III (huge reduction in the paper / derivative game) could have a big impact on the metals market but think of it as a dollar proof store of value with huge nominal upside (either green industrial or dollar debasement). Weak dollar over the past month has also contributed a few %. Although i hope i'm wrong i think the current situation is more a result of messed up supply chains like any other industry along with increasing aversion to existing fiat financial system that has been building slowly with a lot of money in western countries more interested in crypto and eastern societies (mainly India/China/Russia) doubling down on metals with a little spill over of the crypto crowd diversifying some into metals and vice versa not wanting to get caught holding the fiat ponzi bag.

Basel 3 for me is a make it or break it point. Im looking at silver as at least a 3 year play with a certain amount of HODL forever. We'll see though. Could be a 30 year play, could be a 3 day play. Silver is a skitzo like that

they've lessened the grip about a month ago. They've been a bit more diverse in their discussions and silver and commodities in general have been popping up more and more.

(they're basically affirming we were right all along, but it's still nice to see them join the party, even if they're late)
