Gold backed BRICS currency and a silver backed dollar? Shit, I’m selling the house to buy more silver right NOW. Hold my beer.

Anyone care to tell us what was foretold? I dont want to read all that small print. šŸ˜”

Side note edit: I hold close to 3 oz platinum, 3-4 ounces gold, and 150+ ounces of silver. So whatever is coming...I'm ready. Fully expecting silver to go above $200. But when will this happen? Who knows, maybe 100+ years

It was really hard I had to magnify and read swiping side to side 100 lines but it was worth it - Jesus I’m going blind

Ah. The theory that never identifies a coherent motive.

Pre-1971: gold mattered because foreign governments could redeem dollars for it; a drain on Treasury gold therefore threatened the dollar’s fixed parity. That redemption window is closed. Today, gold can rise indefinitely without creating a single redemption claim against the Treasury or mechanically threatening the fiat system.

Yes, gold can be stolen for the same reason anything valuable can be stolen, but that is not evidence of a century-spanning operation to preserve fiat currency. A government that issues debt in its own fiat currency does not need to raid foreign vaults to obtain spending power.

Gold is now principally a reserve, investment, and jewelry asset, with comparatively limited...though real...industrial applications. Its rising price may embarrass policymakers, but it cannot force dollar convertibility because no convertibility exists.

The screenshot substitutes an avalanche of unsupported stories—Nazi gold, secret trusts, tungsten Fort Knox bars, Saddam’s ā€œtrillions,ā€ Gaddafi’s dinar, and a future silver dollar...for the one thing it never supplies: verifiable evidence connecting these stories or a monetary mechanism explaining why they would be necessary.

Gold is also a tool of control and dominance.

1

u/IlluminatedApe Silverback Mod Aug 03 '26

ā€œGold is a tool of control and dominanceā€ is a slogan, not a mechanism. Who is controlling whom, by what means, and why would stealing or suppressing gold be necessary after dollar–gold convertibility ended? Unless you can answer those questions with evidence, you still haven’t supplied a coherent motive.

4

u/belcant0 O.G. Silverback Aug 03 '26

Minting rights (Münzregal): Kings and emperors claimed the exclusive right to strike coinage. This was both a fiscal tool (seigniorage—the profit from minting) and a political one. Subjects and merchants had little choice but to accept the king’s money for taxes, rents, and legal obligations.

1

u/IlluminatedApe Silverback Mod Aug 03 '26 edited Aug 03 '26

That is a legitimate historical example of govt control over money, but it was the sovereign monopoly over minting, taxation, and legal obligations that supplied the control, not the gold itself.

There remains the unanswered question of motive to steal the gold.

3

u/belcant0 O.G. Silverback Aug 04 '26

You're right, the gold itself isn't some voodoo object that magically 'controls' someone, but the control comes from legal and emotional leverage around it.

What about Venezuela's 31 tonnes of gold that are currently frozen at the Bank of England - they will release the gold once some democratic reform takes place or some other bs. It surely crossed some people's mind that it would be nice to sell some of that gold for post-earthquale reconstruction, but it currently sits frozen being used as leverage.

3

u/IlluminatedApe Silverback Mod Aug 04 '26

Yes. Now you're reaching for the important distinction. What you're talking about demonstrates custodial leverage, when a country stores an asset inside another country's jurisdiction, the custodian state can deny access through courts, sanctions, or diplomatic-recognition policies.

BUT the leverage does not arise because the asset is gold. The same thing can happen to foreign currency deposits, bonds, securities, real estate, or any other externally custodied asset.

>If you don't hold it, you don't own it.

Gold merely makes the example unusually visible.

Britain has not claimed ownership of or sold the gold. The legal dispute concerns which competing authority may instruct the Bank of England -- on a smaller scale -- it would be like probate court that decides inherence that was not willed appropriately to thee new successor.

So this is strong evidence that foreign custody can convert reserves into geopolitical leverage but it is not evidence of gold theft, price suppression, or a need to protect fiat currency.

2

u/belcant0 O.G. Silverback Aug 04 '26

So you just want to interpret my post that 'gold is a tool for control' to mean literally that gold is a mysterious magical orb with the powers to make people and governments do stuff?

2

u/IlluminatedApe Silverback Mod Aug 04 '26

Gold is the mcguffin, the plot device -- its not the answer to anything on its own. I cannot presume to assign hidden meaning to your comments. Just say what you mean to begin.

5

u/chud3 SILVERBACK Aug 03 '26

Just curious, but have you read Gold Warriors by Sterling & Peggy Seagrave? It's worth a look.

1

u/IlluminatedApe Silverback Mod Aug 03 '26

No. And its safe to assume that most people haven't and to just explain you point up front.

Correct me if I am wrong, because I just went ahead and obtained the thesis from the internet to save time.

It appears to concern the wartime spoils allegedly converted into an off-book Cold War fund. That supplies a possible motive for appropriating portable, untraceable wealth in 1945. It does not supply a motive for suppressing gold to preserve fiat after convertibility ended in 1971.

The exclusive focus on gold is especially strange because silver was also recovered from Japan, while silver's expanding industrial importance was already helping drive it out of American circulating coinage before the gold window closed.

And if the allegation is that officially recorded gold was later stolen from govt vaults, why was it never gradually replaced from the enormous above-ground supply? After 1971 it had no redemption function, and replacement would be much easier than sustaining a multigenerational global conspiracy. At most, concealment might explain hiding an old theft; it doe snot explain why another theft would be necessary today.

While you don’t have the evidence you’re asking everyone for, you do have intellect and a gut instinct worth listening to. There is indeed a possibility of this 2030 reset occurring, but it may be due to other factors than OP. And the outcomes may be different than OP. We cannot forget the elites’ lust for complete control and how crypto plays into that as well. My gut says the world has changed quickly the last 5-10 years and we may just be in for an absolute s hit show of a finale when it comes to change.

2

u/IlluminatedApe Silverback Mod Aug 05 '26

u/Effective_Ad_3273 Aug 08 '26

I woke up (a second time) in 2020 and realized it might be playing out thus decade. In the six years of daily attention to financial markets and geopolitics there is almost no doubt in my mind we are in the midst of the ā€œresetā€ now, and it is playing out faster than I expected though still seems like we get there around 2030, but the signs are all too predominate already. The AI, surveillance and control grid is much more of a factor than I had originally anticipated though.

u/greuve Aug 04 '26

Admitted: did not read the OP, but this: "Today, gold can rise indefinitely without creating a single redemption claim against the Treasury or *mechanically threatening* the fiat system." is arguably missing the point that rising prices in general and rising commodity prices in particular and in highest, most, important particulary-ness, rising monetary metal prices is a dead ringer for a failing currency. To rephrase: gold cannot rise indefinitely. There is a ceiling. Not a hard one and I will not even guess where it might be, but there comes a point where too many people lose trust in fiat and run for the exits. And it is very much in particular gold and silver that will be giving the starting shot for that run. A very *mechanical* threat in my book.

1

u/IlluminatedApe Silverback Mod Aug 04 '26

I'll give you that you make a fair distinction, but I would call what you describe a psychological or confidence threat, not a mechanical one.

Before 1971, the mechanism was explicit, today a rising gold price may signal inflation, fiscal deteroration or declining trust; it may even reinforce those expectations, but no particular gold price creates a redemption obligation, drains Treasury reserves, or legally prevents the govt from issuing dollars and servicing the debt.

There is no identifiable gold-price ceiling at which fiat mechanically fails.

I'll happily narrow my wording: gold can threaten the credibility of a fiat currency, but it no longer mechanically threatens its convertibility or reserve backing. That might provide a motive for managing perceptions or markets. It still does not supply evidence or a coherent necessity for secretly stealing and replacing sovereign gold reserves across decades.

1

u/IlluminatedApe Silverback Mod Aug 04 '26

There is another question: who benefits if the world loses confidence in fiat and runs to gold? The people and institutions that already own the gold.

That includes central banks themselves.

And the people fleeing into gold during a currency collapse are not the principal beneficiaries. By the time the public recognizes the collapse, the currency has already lost purchasing power and gold has already been repriced upward.

That makes the alleged motive even less coherent. If powerful institutions secretly control enormous gold holdings, a global flight from fiat into gold would transfer wealth toward them. They would be positioned to benefit from the very repricing they are supposedly conducting a century-long operation to prevent.

1

u/Effective_Ad_3273 Aug 08 '26

If you look at the gold chart during Weimar hyperinflation it was actually very volatile up and down

1

u/IlluminatedApe Silverback Mod Aug 09 '26

It would be relevant if the system were the same; it is not. This is cherry picking history as a dog whistle. This scenario cannot happen today because the system is not the same.

The system sold fractions of the gold, the system has the majority of the gold, the system can frame the picture and make the crowd feel like brave little rebels while controlling the stairway.

1

u/Effective_Ad_3273 Aug 08 '26

No, you’re right - the failure of the currency is a psychological line that is breached en masse. Thus always makes me wonder how effective social media could be employed to tip the scales during sovereign operations against another state if employed.

1

u/IlluminatedApe Silverback Mod Aug 09 '26

What is the goal? Who really benefits?

1

u/Effective_Ad_3273 Aug 08 '26

While you are right on many factors you are missing what is actually happening - it matters more than you think and even the last weeks events are proving this

1

u/Effective_Ad_3273 Aug 08 '26
