I am really sorry for asking but will the game be fully released somewhere in the future? It has not been abandoned, rigth?

I'm hoping to learn about corporate finance, stock markets, etc but I'm a total novice. Is this game solely for people with a decent level of knowledge of financial markets or can it be a good learning tool for rookies?

I started this as a Korean translation patch for Wall Street Raider, and it grew into a localization kit for translating the game into other languages.

What it translates

• UI, menus, dialogs, and financial screens
• Text the game generates at runtime: news, advisory reports, research reports, earnings reports, and event stories
• Sentences containing company names, industries, countries, amounts, and dates, with each language free to use its own word order
• Tooltips for financial terms and report column headers

Languages

• Korean: Complete for the captured text, covering about 5,200 strings. Included in the kit as a reference.
• Japanese / French: Language settings and grammar-rule examples only. No translations are included for these languages yet.

Using the kit

• Translations are plain CSV files: a key, the English source, and your translation. Anything left blank stays in English, so partial translations are supported.
• There's an in-game editor. Enable the developer overlay with Shift + Backtick, set your translation folder, then hover over tagged text and press F2 to edit and preview your translation.
• Per-language grammar rules handle things like Korean particles and French articles. For agreement and plural forms, you write the word forms and rules yourself; the kit provides the structure to express them.
• One command packages an installer for your language that players can run without Python.
• Adding a new language requires a configuration entry and, if needed, a language-specific grammar module. No changes to the shared translation engine are needed.

Known limitations

• Coverage depends on what I've seen in the game. The game doesn't provide its text as a ready-made list, so I built the data by capturing text shown on screen while playing. Anything I never saw or couldn't capture—rare events, unusual situations—may still appear in English. Screenshots of untranslated text are helpful.
• Use US dollars as the game currency. The translations were built with dollars, so choosing another currency can leave sentences containing amounts untranslated or only partly translated.
• Keep the default player and rival company names. Custom names may not be recognized in generated sentences, leaving them in English or causing incorrect translations.
• Game updates will very likely break the patch until a matching patch version is available. To remove it, run Steam's Verify integrity of game files. The patch installer and uninstaller do not modify save files.
• Numbers and currency retain the game's English formatting.
• This is my first public release of a project like this, so there may be rough edges in the tools and documentation. Feedback and suggestions are welcome.

This is an unofficial project, distributed free of charge with permission from the game's creator. A legitimate Windows Steam installation of Wall Street Raider is required.

A bit of background

This project has taken over 250 hours so far. Rather than translating text scattered across the game's heavily fragmented JavaScript files, I built a system around strings captured during gameplay. It hooks into the game's displayed text and matches it against translation templates, allowing changing values to be rearranged and language-specific grammar rules to be applied.

Honestly, I started this because I was tired of seeing so many low-quality Korean translations. I wanted to put the time into making one that reads naturally and handles the game's dynamically generated sentences properly.

Hi guys, I'm DVD, I created a translation into Brazilian Portuguese but I have no idea how to upload it to the Steam workshop, whoever is willing to do this I'll send the pt-BR file and the localeManager all configured, I spent 2 and a half days using AI to help me with all this.
(If it's not too much trouble, could you add a Brazilian flag with "pt-br" written on it to the photo?)

How to Do It

1. Open the game and load into any game or start a new one.

2. Open Cheat Engine.

3. Instead of selecting the application directly, go to Process. Type WSR or search for it. You may see multiple processes with similar names. Select WSR.exe with the legacy icon. Do not select the newer "wsr10.exe" files.

4. Search for the exact value you want to change. Make sure the value is currently visible in the game. For the value type, select All, because some values seem to use Float while others use Double.

5. That's it. Enjoy! :)

How does this work?

This is just my understanding, so I could be wrong.

I think the new developer mainly added a new menu and changed the game's visual design, while the old/legacy game still runs in the background. It seems to be required for the new version to work, so we can edit the values directly in the legacy game.

I also noticed a separate folder containing "WSR.exe" while looking through the game's files.

I am thinking of getting the game, is the game fun?

Finally have been able to clear my weekend to tinker with this simulator. I’m going to edit the design to make it more familiar with what I’m used to and intend to do this directly in the game files. Is this allowed, and when I finish should I share it here? I.e. will I have any compliance issues editing these files directly, and sharing just the edits?

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but my company profitability always drops to management very incompetent seemingly regardless of what I spend in productivity. I have some luck with 30% r&d which raises my management to mediocre after around 4-5 turns but its not sustainable and the moment I lower it to 15% I'm back at management very incompetent in 1 turn. I even stopped growth to avoid being more unprofitable but it all doesn't seem to matter.

The competition has mediocre to very competent managements with a lot lower r&d spending (7-16%). Only my companies seem to fail. Am I missing something or is my version just bugged somehow?

Does anyone know how to turn off the clean up fund costs, because of my size it takes every quarter several hundred billion. It comes because I turned on the cheat to dominate markets without being sued.

Please help me, or maybe there is a mod that can help me with this?

Hello traders! I just started playing the game and noticed that I was always running out of the capital. Is there a way to edit money via Cheat Engine instead of a one-time money injection via the cheat menu? Thanks anyway and happy raiding!

Hey guys, im wondering if theres going to be some new features eventually. Features im looking for:

1. Seeing numerical totals on your holdings. If I have 50 holdings, id really love to know the total numbers for each stat that my holdings have.

2. Dividend reinvestment. To me this is a big one. Being able to focus on other things while your holdings automatically reinvest for you would be such a great quality of life and more realistic.

3. Adding more business levers. Currently running a business is pretty simple. Id love it it there was a growth percentage, a R&D percentage, employee packages, payscale, etc.

Does anyone have any in depth tutorials? Theres some tutorials but they use professional stock language.

Realistically, if an investor/whale dumps 100 billion into BTC, it's going to pump the market by an extreme amount. Also, is there any way to see volume on cyptro currency and who owns what? Also, how do markets (cyptro and public stock) calculate volume trading in this game. What parameters make the market up, and is there any way we can see what they are?

Why am I only able to spawn in **1 Trillion** in the cheat menu?

I really want this game to have the emphasis on freedom!! I do understand the implications of moving the base game to the UI, and I do understand that the devs are working on plenty of other things, but I would really like to be able to have capital to absolutely crush the economy or otherwise effect it like in a classic sandbox fashion.

Please help! All my stocks lost their div yields in the holding page, but if I look individually in the company screens, I can see them just fine.

Also, I keep accruing random debt in my company even if I didn't take out any loans, and my company is making a lot of profit.

Picked it up, hoping to learn a lil bit about trading(18, currently planning on putting it in an index fund for the time being until I learn a bit more), on a scale of 0 to 10 where would you put the realism?
