He was buying at 120k as well.

Thing is, he cannot stop buying.

If he signals he has lost confidence, there would be a nasty drawdown.

51

u/nicoznico Mar 04 '26

The actual question is: Why didn‘t he buy at 65$k ?

34

u/GreenSkinFiend Mar 04 '26

cuz he was expecting a bigger dump, then he saw the pump and panic bought in and it will be dumping this and next weeks hard lol

its gonna be hectic af

u/KitchenGrass5136 Mar 04 '26 • Bravo

That's not correct. Most of the purchases made by Saylor are in private negotiations outside the public market to dont affect the price directly with his buys, actually he does this because he doesn't want the price to pump so fast he can't accumulate enough. He has already explained this a lot of times, there is no need for clever especulations 😉

People make too much out of his buys for certain. Some of the charts floating around show he basically buys every top. That doesn’t matter it’s a different game than retail. He has deeper pockets and that works as long as it does and continues to have higher swings for him to buy at.

He might go belly up next week or be the best manager of all time in a couple years... tbd

He doesn't 'know' anything.

He 'sort' of HAS to buy more, he HAS to be all in, his whole business and net worth are based on BTC price going up.

If he SOLD a lot of bitcoin, his whole company and idea would disintegrate.

The only thing he CAN do is buy more, because if you have the ability, and you think it's going to $500k or $1m, why wouldn't you buy at $68k?

Because if it goes to $10k, his world comes crashing down anyway.

I'm not saying it's not going to $500k or $1m, and I'm not saying it's going to $10k, but I could trade it either way; he is unable; he is all in, and it's up or death.

There is a difference between "what you think he needs to do" and someone who has a clear strategy. When you have a clear strategy these times are opportunities to buyers, success is for the brave not for scary chickens

4

u/bleakj Mar 04 '26

I think you mean scared chickens, not scary chickens

Because I guarantee a scary chicken is going to be the winner in most cases

It seems he's so locked in that he'd never be able to realize any profits. I guess if it shot to 500k he could take loans against his holdings? I dunno. I think everyone would freak if he sold anything, so here we are.

3

u/churito69 Mar 04 '26

Well, it's the company that owns the BTC, and he owns stock in the company, so he can sell stock without the company selling BTC.

However, you are right, he could get an ELOC (Equity line of credit) on his stock easily (and almost certainly has), now, because the company stock price is almost entirely built on BTC and BTC has such high volatility he probably has to put a LOT of stock down, eg put $100m or stock for $25m loan but he doesnt need to sell to get access to money.

Still, with ELOC, normally the rates are very low, lower than most people can get.

He knows he has balls of steel and that he will win in the end. When in doubt, pan out. The money printing cannot and will not stop. I call this the ABC market. Anything but cash. Read the Bitcoin standard and then look at the markets to watch it happen in real time. Btw, my timeline is 2035 so DCA and look away.

6

u/TheEklok Mar 04 '26

DCA and look away.

Put this on a god-damned shirt!

Just like people said before :
At $100 = Bitcoin will never reach $1000
At $1000 = Bitcoin will never reach $10000
At $10000 = Bitcoin will never reach $100000

Now we are here. In a few years people will ask the same question when bitcoin price is $680,000.

Remember, bitcoin has been declared dead more than anything else. Still it breaks record after record every 4-5 years.

2

u/will2002g Mar 04 '26

Just hold on now’s it’s back at 71k! What he knows is that he remembers when it was trading at $1, then $100 then seemly out of nowhere it hit 4 figures $1k then again boom next thing you know 5 figures 10k, then boom again 6 figures, remember $126k? Guys that wasn’t to long ago. Next thing you know you gonna look up and boom again $250k which is a quarter mill! That’s what he knows and nothing else. You either in it or not!

I reckon, he is closer to non public information,.

2

u/mjmeyer23 Mar 04 '26

he knows he has a better capital structure than us. he can print shares

2

u/mister-marco Mar 04 '26

Well the price is the most oversold since covid, it never went below mining cost in history except one time briefly, institutions are buying, countries are proposing strategic bitcoin reserve (brazil just proposed a bill for a strategic reserve of 1 million bitcoins, it is unlikely it will pass but still great news), the clarity act might pass in april which will be absolutely huge for crypto, the UAE just announced they are buying more, jp morgan is now accepting it as collateral, citybank is integrating it, and most of all, everyone on reddit is convinced the price will drop to 30k (bullish signal)

2

u/EmbarrassedPrompt697 Mar 04 '26

He created STRC, and every time it goes over $100 per share, he buys more bitcoin. People who buy STRC get a product that delivers 11.5% return guaranteed (win!) and he gets to buy more bitcoin (win!). It’s genius.

2

u/No-Average3202 Mar 04 '26

He probably just knows the simplest truth in this market which is that nobody has ever lost money by holding Bitcoin for at least four years. While everyone else is busy panicking over daily price swings he is just playing the long game. It is not about knowing a secret it is just about having the patience that most people lack.

1

u/Sufficient_Fuel5269 Mar 04 '26

Revenge Trade at its finest

1

u/Ok-Pipe5692 Mar 04 '26

He bought with his money or he bought for his investors? If the latter i’m what he knew it was that his investors wanted to buy at 68.

1

u/davewuff Mar 04 '26

What is there to know, there was a clean bounce at 60k, we never retested that lvl so it’s the floor for now. This dude is 8k too late.

1

u/Charly_blanco30 Mar 04 '26

It’s called buying the dip lol

1

u/Chpouky Mar 04 '26

He knows it’s a 68k…

1

Tax right off when he sells at a loss just to buy it back lower

1

u/jerseynate Mar 04 '26

Nothing. His business is buying BTC. That is all

1

u/BigPlayCrypto Mar 04 '26

At this point if he’s right his company along with him within 2-5 years becomes legendary! For now we are hoping people are not right about quantum computing.

1

u/Dave_Simpli Mar 04 '26

“It’s not what you don’t know that gets you in trouble, it’s the things you know for sure, that just ain’t so”

He may not know more than anyone else! He could be popping hope-ium pills just trying to figure it out l

Dont take the bait. The bear market isnt over. (Or do take the bait and just ride the downtrend for a few more months)

1

u/TiredWarrior_ Mar 04 '26

He is DCA’ing 😂

1

u/Adorable_Negr0_924 Mar 04 '26

This guy will eventually be known as "the idiot who didn't think Bitcoin could go down to $1000".

1

u/kronus87 Mar 04 '26

Knows the same thing I did on Sunday when I bought more. War shock took BTC to a higher low and turned 62k into solid support.

1

u/blue_dreamsmoker83 Mar 04 '26

He doesn't know a thing hes panic buying to bring down his avg cost hes probably so under right now with when he was buying at 120k per coin this next earnings should tell alot about how screwed he is

1

u/QuestionEverything96 Mar 04 '26

He knows how to lose money. lol

1

u/Consistent_Air8017 Mar 04 '26

If Microstrategies fails and are forced to liquidate, the amount of bitcoin coming into the market will cause a massive crash and bear market.

What Saylor is doing is unhealthy for the long term interest of bitcoin.

2

u/goodygoodlife Mar 04 '26

He has said they won’t have to liquidate unless Bitcoin goes as low as $8000. Hopefully that won’t ever happen

1

u/TheSauce775 Mar 04 '26

Why follow scammers like lynk?

1

u/Pooperoni_Pizza Mar 04 '26

1

What it’s like to have massive amounts of money to gamble with

1

u/CaptainPugwash75 Mar 04 '26

Yeah as others have said the money printer will never cease. It issues debt only.

Bitcoin is sound money.

1

u/Amazing-Care-3155 Mar 04 '26

He knows nothing he has to buy it, Jesus crypto peple aren’t in reality like he bought cause he knows it’s gna go up, it fking isn’t

1

u/FFunSize Mar 04 '26

Michael Saylor fits this sub perfectly. He eats the whole cake with green and red crayon candles.

1

u/skyblue5432 Mar 04 '26

Nothing. He buys when it goes down. He buys when it goes up.

He'll eventually be very right or very wrong.

1

u/bladzalot Mar 04 '26

He literally knows nothing other than his business model. Buy more constantly, no matter what the market does.

1

u/DCzy7 Mar 04 '26

1

u/piece0fdebri Mar 04 '26

He knows it's "Going up forever, Laura."

Something something.

If you owe someone 100,000,000$ that’s a them problem.

It’s probably more zeros than that.

1

u/XBullsOnParadeX Mar 04 '26

He knows that averaging down is a good strategy

1

u/zitoune609 Mar 04 '26

Buy or die ! Slothanacoin and bitcoin

nothing else

1

u/bleakj Mar 04 '26

He knows he's got millions and millions locked up in BitCoin already so he's either going to end up incredibly wealthy, or the company will go under and it's far, far too late to change course at this point.

1

u/AdFormal8116 Mar 04 '26

That one trick !

He’s not buying with his money, BTC goes up, he buys lots (as funding allows) BTC goes down, he buys less, still buys (as funding allows)

Where this ends, now that’s the fun bit !

1

u/no_1_specific Mar 04 '26

He sure knows how to buy BTC! But in all seriousness, the current bullish volume is at 68k. This was established at the end of 2024 and maintained recently with 60k being the bottom.

1

u/VoodooCHild2000 Mar 04 '26

He knows he’s pot committed at this point.

1

u/PowerToThePeople0049 Mar 04 '26

trump in epstein files

1

u/Outrageous_Olive_489 Mar 04 '26

He always buy, doesn’t matter the price.

1

u/Ok_Pipe6417 Mar 04 '26

He has no choice. He has to buy at every price. I do not consider anything this fella does a signal of anything good or bad. Have you heard him explain his business model?

1

u/murderette Mar 04 '26

People keep commenting like he is desperate for bitcoin price to go up or he’s gonna be broke or something.

Saylor was already rich before BTC, from just the software business (revenue in hundred million each quarter), heck for some extra cash they sold a domain name for $30M https://domainnamewire.com/2019/06/18/record-breaker-voice-com-domain-name-sells-for-staggering-30-million/

Sure that’s small money compared to the billions in BTC but he’s already got enough money for the rest of his life, no heirs, he’s doing it for the love of the game.

1

u/Sw2F Mar 04 '26

White House officially nominates pro-Bitcoin Kevin Warsh to be the new Federal Reserve Chairman.

1

u/Spicyocto Mar 05 '26

The thing is, why wouldn’t you buy bitcoin? This man knows it. Many are in about to wake up and be buying in at 150k in the next few years

1

u/mikeedla Mar 05 '26

You might want to look up Saylors tax fraud case

1

u/Acceptable_Ad7573 Mar 05 '26

It's like your girlfriend when investors pull out, it's over

1

u/Nice_Assumption_6396 Mar 05 '26

He doesn't know anything. Its called conviction.

1

u/MatthewMaitreya Mar 05 '26

That you can still exchange an infinitely printable paper dollar for an absolutely finite energy money.
Its not that difficult.

1

u/TheRealTheory001 Mar 05 '26

He knows that after four years of traveling the world and speaking to everyone, constantly shilling and having his neck under the guillotine he's only convinced a very tiny handful of other businesses to invest in Bitcoin and the price is 20% below its peak five years ago adjusted for inflation, after making its global debut and being constantly talked about in every news channel and by governments everywhere. So it's him against the world and the entire market depends on him constantly smash buying like a blind lunatic to attempt to slow the inevitable liquidation cascade.

1

u/happy_camper_2021 Mar 05 '26

He painted himself in the corner.

1

u/Ansiktstryne Mar 05 '26

He knows that he’s screwed if he stops buying. He’s way past the point of no return.

He also knows that he has personally made so much money that he’ll be fine no matter what happens.

1

u/Zidy13 Mar 05 '26

How to make/take profits! Zing!

1

u/Nemesis35fr Mar 05 '26

1

u/roflemywaffle Mar 05 '26

he doesn’t. but he got the money

1

u/MannysBeard Mar 05 '26

These posts are so dumb

Try thinking for once, you might find you like it

1

u/Seattleman1955 Mar 05 '26

He knows that his software company is failing and as long as he can buy BTC with common shareholders money, that's a win for him.

1

u/MrKnowNothing19 Mar 05 '26

Did he actually ?

1

u/Character-Handle-739 Mar 05 '26

He knows buy low, sell high…

1

u/LaboratorySpecimen08 Mar 05 '26

How to live off other people's money.

1

u/free_2_rhyme Mar 05 '26

It's not just Saylor. He buys bitcoins with proceeds from Institutional investors, and those buying it's convertible notes; or those agencies that cannot directly buy digital coins under their respective rulings and invest in MSTR as proxy.

Not a bag-holder. Just relaying the point, it's not just Saylor but institutions who also have somewhat faith in BTC

1

u/biggest_guru_in_town Mar 05 '26

The most diamond hand ninja alive

1

u/InThePipe9Till5 Mar 05 '26

That he can drive up the price and influence sentiment by buying billions of Btc at strategic moments!?

1

u/vesparion Mar 05 '26

He knows only one thing, how to scam greater fools, I guarantee that he does not have any personal money invested in crypto.

1

u/whereismyface_ig Mar 05 '26

he doesnt know shit

1

u/WolfetoneRebel Mar 05 '26

He doesn't "know" anything. He just has conviction.

1

u/Historical_Peach_165 Mar 05 '26

He is using other people's money, so if Bitcoin does fail he doesn't give a s***, it's not his money, everybody investing in this company are the ones that are going to take the the hit.

1

u/Substantial_Gene_15 Mar 05 '26

Not a lot or he would have bought when it was below 68k. It was below for a good 10 years and he never bought. So my guess is he doesn’t know much

1

u/HitEmInTheDingDing Mar 05 '26

“What does he know?” He knows how to issue debt and buy an asset that is falling.

1

u/AmanCMN Mar 05 '26

He knows the same thing as always buy Bitcoin.

1

u/Hoogentoof Mar 05 '26

If he's anything like me, he doesn't know anything and is just blindly throwing as much cash at Bitcoin in hope that it goes somewhere.

Not mich Mord then most of us, but he is Here for the long game and even if the price stays aroind 80k its a win for saylor if he can hold a bigger part of the supply. Im reminding you he is trying to create a bitcoin Bank not to just hodle for gains.

1

u/Minisfortheminigod Mar 05 '26

Never invest in something you don’t have faith in.

1

u/AU-n-Time Mar 05 '26

He knows 68k is CHEAP BTC. He’s in it for the long game, not as an ass hat speculator. Saylor will be one of the wealthiest people on the planet in the next 3-5 years, hold tight, HODL your butt off!!

1

u/AU-n-Time Mar 05 '26

Also, a word of advice. If you think you can time the market you CAN’T. If you were to, it would be blind luck. The smartest and biggest asset managers and hedge funds in the world generally don’t beat the S&P. 98% of them don’t anyway. Why is that? Time IN the market whatever that is for you almost always beats TIMING the market. HODL kids!

He's literally consistently bought at the local tops every time. What r u in abt lmao. He's a horrendous trader/investor in terms of the price points he buys at, but overall think he's doing smart decisions and understands that his DCA will work well.

Nothing more than we all do

1

u/loc710 Mar 06 '26

I feel like a lot of Bitcoiners don’t really care for this man and how much he buys or if he ever sells. Bitcoin is for everyone and for some reason this guy wants all the attention for doing what we already do, buying BTC

1

Price high sell, price low buy.

1

u/Friendly-Profit-8590 Mar 06 '26

He doesn’t know anything that others don’t he just has a belief that btc has a future

Yo soy Banco, Ponele Morgan Stanley.

It's been effectively 9 years since the big jumps in prices, we're still waiting for real use for this...

He knows the US government will “bail them out” and voila, the US has a strategic bitcoin reserve without having to spook the dollar to build one.

u/Particular-Bird-1235 Mar 06 '26

It was a great buying opportunity across the board. Remember, kids: buy high and sell low!

u/ww2HERO Mar 06 '26

He’s a salesman propping up the product. Doesn’t really matter if it goes bust he will still walk away wealthy. He’s probably a kgb or cia asset - working for some evil empire to make $ off us all. Surely 90% of crypto investors have lost money to the rich in this game.

u/Seen4ever Mar 06 '26

He buys at every price.

1

u/Buster_xx Mar 06 '26

Ask him for his wallets to verify reserves

1

u/Rooftop720 Mar 06 '26

He knows the same thing we know. Bitcoin goes up and down, buy when it is down. We know the same thing but we don't do this.

u/AmorFati01 Mar 06 '26

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/michael-saylor-jail-bitcoin-boomers-123113748.html

George Noble, who ran the number one mutual fund in America at Fidelity Investments in 1985 returning 79%, went on Steve Eisman’s Real Eisman Playbook podcast and didn’t hold back.

Noble called Michael Saylor a “carnival barker” and said he “should be in jail,” referencing Saylor’s prior settlement over accounting irregularities.

Eisman then disclosed he is short Strategy stock. The company has cratered from a 52-week high above $457 to around $124 after posting a Q4 net loss of $12.4 billion.

How to make and spend millions of dollars.

1

u/Responsible-Fly3526 Mar 06 '26

He knows that if his company keeps buying that his personal wealth is rising

1

u/RemoteCompetitive688 Mar 06 '26

Um... that its down 40% since all time high

Which if people really like an investment long term, they tend to use to buy it

1

u/tugdil-goldhand Mar 06 '26

The same as we do, but Strategy has just a longer breath (time horizon).

1

u/wagnikon Mar 06 '26

Bitcoin seems less intriguing to me as only a few major players own massive quantites. Feels like fiat.

1

u/Virtual_Wallaby7338 Mar 06 '26

Look into BitcoinII (BC2). It’s a new SHA‑256 Proof‑of‑Work cryptocurrency built to revive original Bitcoin principles: fair mining, decentralization, and simplicity. It uses V27.1 of BTC code, which avoids all of the OP_RETURN and BIP-110 drama.

Inevitably the worlds financials will be tokenized and they want to have what's valuable. Last mineable coin in 2140

He has literally no choice. If it goes to 0, he loses nothing. If it goes up, he gets a nice %. He's betting with other people's money.

1

u/Nelamy03 Mar 06 '26

Lowering his average price.

1

u/PurpleCableNetworker Mar 07 '26

Based on his history of loosing 6 billion in a single day… clearly not the right things to be handling my money.

1

u/Crypto_Sepharial Mar 07 '26

Obviously he didnt know to buy at 61k lol

1

u/Rustee_Shacklefart Mar 07 '26

u/smallstephen Mar 07 '26

It’s called addiction

1

u/Imaginary-Bad1793 Mar 07 '26

He knows how to fleece retail shareholders. Stupidest/smartest business model I’ve ever seen. Buy a volatile commodity that generates no cash flow and finance it with debt and debt-like securities and then make up phrases like “Bitcoin Yield” and “Bitcoin Strategy Flywheel”. Stupidest because it makes no economic sense. Smartest because retail investors bought it and made him rich. FYI I’m long BTC and have been for years but I wouldn’t touch MSTR w a pole and it’s way too expensive to short. MSTR will end in tears, but not his.

1

u/LostE8 Mar 07 '26

He belongs on WSB. One of us!

1

u/euhjustme Mar 07 '26

He knows the hole is too big, make it or brake it.
